We are going terribly this year and after nine rounds, I have seen nothing on the field, apart from the names we have on paper to suggest we are going to improve to mount any sort of challenge.

The refs interpretations have something to do with the slide in standard. I expect some teams will improve over the course of the year and catch up to the front running Dragons form....

A win is better than a loss but if that DCE doesn’t miss a kick from in front then we at least go in to over time and who knows what happens when you play field goal lottery. This season reminds me of 2011 when we all waited for it to click and it never did.

This team has potential.

My expectations are pretty low for this current team so it doesn’t frustrate me too much I am just frustrated we made an old fashioned transit lounge signing with Cronk. I’d be all over the rebuilding arguments if we had Cleary or another young half but we’ve shelved our big bucks for a half who has disappointed in all but 1 game. For the money and reputation he has the expectations have to be sky high otherwise what was the point in him?

It's not about this thread or what was said in this thread.

He and Bigchook disagree a lot on things and I know now that they have a lot of respect for each other even though it seemed like they wanted to bag each others opinion here at times lol. I hope u and him can patch it up.

You may have hit a nerve with him in an earlier thread which hurt him deeply (I don't think it was intentional either) Believe me Eddie is not protected species but we are all different and with different thresholds. I have a cousin on here who knows Eddie really well and through him i have got to know him quite well too.

His heart is in the right place and I am sure so is yours....

I understand what you're saying, especially if you were a Pearce fan.
But I don't see Cronk as a "transit lounge" signing at all.
Cronk had to move to Sydney, and felt he had a couple of good seasons left in him. Signing him made a lot of sense. He even has family connections to our club.
People on this site are marking him way too hard, I think he goes alright. There are other factors that contribute to how much influence a halfback has on a game.
Re-watch our earlier defeat of Newcastle with a fully fit Pearce at half...................
