Former half back!

I didn't post this thread here, I replied to a post on a thread titled "Former Halfback". Since Pearce is our former halfback I think that I posted my message on the most appropriate thread possible. The person to whom I was replying suggested that Pearce should be forgotten here because he now wears a different jersey. I mentioned Beetson in my reply since he left Easts to join Parramatta, yet I'd suggest that he is still highly revered on this site. I can't think of a better definition of "appropriate". You shouldn't drink so early in the day, you make very little sense. I can assure you that I could be the least likely person here to "glorify" Pearce, and I didn't glorify him in my previous comment. There is a big difference between glorification and gratitude, and I expressed the latter only.

Fittler is the greatest Rooster I have seen but he is number 4 of all time for mine.
Messenger is seminal possibly the reason for League being such a strong sport in the Eastern States of Australia, Brown could have been the greatest player ever and Artie is an immortal.....Originally posted by Bondi Boy

Yes I started drinking early today about 1am after finishing my training at the local 24 hour gym last night. I then fell asleep woke up in the morning no drinks since, maybe a few tonight after hopefully celebrating a good win today.....you loosely compared Pearce to Beetson not in ability but you used the analogy of recognising him. Perhaps you should have used the Matt Sing or Craig Wing analogy, oh yes that is right I bet you never posted about supporting them the season after they left, yet they were closer to Pearce in ability and spent considerable time here too.Originally posted by Bondi Boy

Brawlboy: Comprehension and articulation are clearly not your sharpest tools. I see no purpose for you to mention Wing and Sing in regard to my opinion that all players that have worn the colours deserve gratitude. If you think that you are being either humourous or intimidating, you have a lot to learn. I support the team and I appreciate the players, regardless of whether I think they are good players or not. Overuse of the word "analogy" doesn't make you appear intelligent you know. Look up in a dictionary the definition of "analogy" and you'll find that it is a a correspondence or partial similarity, exactly how I compared Pearce and Beetson playing for other clubs. For the reason you specified, I do hope that you have cause to raise a glass in celebration shortly.

You don't have the pedigree to make a sound judgement on Pearce's abilities

I am not being humourous with you and I am definitely not trying to be intimidating if that is what you are trying to convey.
I happen not to agree with you re the Pearce post.
I wish him well but will not show any love whatsoever for him as he is gone to a club we love to hate as the Knights have always hated us.
However, all of a sudden there is a lot of love for them from here.
No drinks yet, I usually don't drink a lot these days. I will need a swim or surf to settle down the nerves and let off some nervous energy, today's game is no good for my health lol.....
I cannot believe the Tigers have leveled up with 2 mins to go and a kick for the lead.
Edit: I cannot believe they hit the lead and will probably win.
