I haven't watched the game yet, but will at 6pm.
My guess is that it'll be like it always is for us down there.
The ball gets painted maroon and white and we 'never' get to see it.
It has ever been so...in the days of Chariots Offiah and Pat Jarvis it was the same.

As for Pearce, he needs good players around him to play good, he showed that in Origin, you try being a halfback in a team that is getting smashed. Jesus christ
I agree Friend has been great for us...... in defence. But is attack is still way off what you need from a good 9.
Mitchell is average and if he is what we are relying upon for impact off the bench then we are well and truly farked. FFS parra let him go.
I never said anything about Pearce. I am happy for him to stay as I agree he is hamstrung by a team going backwards.

Fark me at the moment I'd take Funch over Carntey, at least we knew he was shit, instead of watching a bloke who we know has the ability he just can't/won't show it.
His defense is woeful, his kicking game is pathetic and he is scared to hit the line at pace. We actually looked better with Bwaiff at 6.
The FlogPen .
You know it makes sense.

Penalty against us on the line when Manly was attacking...another 6 tackles to Manly.
Anasta tacked without the ball when we were attacking, no penalty.
Pearce threw a dumb pass after 6 minutes when we were attacking, into the side of our player.
Friend got sucked in to slapping Watmough, penalty to Manly...Manly scored after 5 sets of six including a penalty.
Manly...internationals in nearly every position, and a team near the top of the ladder...and at home.
The boys, ...............................including BJ who was left 'all alone'...4 on 3 and Graham standing where the centre should be in defence, Manly's first try.............................played ok.
We got a few penalties at the end when the match was a foregone conclusion...but not in the first half or first 60 minutes?

I am finally convinced that Brian Smith needs to be sacked from the Club and someone new has to come in.
It has become obvious that the players arent putting in for him,and he cant get the best out of them anymore!
We can persist with him for as long as we like, but it will definetly come at a cost for our great club..
He has lost his players, and it is plain to see.
For the roster we have, our performances are just not up to standard!
