The only issue I have with the coach is that there has been no improvement to our ill discipline. Even in 2013 we were the most penalised team. Dumb brainless errors by the same players and it continues. I doubt Bellamy would put up with that for a game. Certainly not 5 years.

Can’t pin that on him. It went back more than a decade. We have to wait for a new generation of refs.

Latrell is not a quantity output player. What you say isn't untrue because for centres in the NRL last year Latrell Mitchell ranked in the bottom third for average possessions per game.

However for centres, Latrell Mitchell ranked 1st in the NRL for Total Try Involvements per game last year, 1st in Avg Linebreaks & eqaul 1st in Avg tries per game.

The same argument can be made for Luke Keary. In 2017 Keary ranked in the bottom four 5/8's for average possessions per game yet amongst the 5/8's he ranked 1st in Avg Linebreaks, 1st in Avg Linebreak Assists & 1st in average Try Assists.

These aren't quantity players, they're quality players!!

Also whilst dealing with a player with obvious engagement issues you are saying not only give him less ball but make it known and part of our plan to ‘limitt’ his involvement? Ignoring what a ridiculous premise this is to measure a coaches ability I can't help but just point out how factually incorrect this insinuation through question is.

Geez Craig Bellamy has got some hard questions to answer for after the 2017 season.

Firstly I spoke specifically of middle 3rd players, so quoting Cordner and referencing his 80 min stats against the other players 50-60 minute stats is a poor foundation for an argument. So take Cordner out we now have the 12th and 18th anked middle in the game, and then my concern, daylight thereafter for our side. Have you got other important (offloads, post contact metres, penalties, errors) middle 3rd stats to go with these, especially the one so mentioned in tandem with my post?

Ahh yes the storm who spent all their time scoring try’s and kicking goals and most importantly rotating their interchange properly equating to an better SMARTER spread of minutes of Brom, Glasby, McLean, Finucane, Asofa etc. whilst our middle resorted to errors, penalties and watching our wingers create their own fatigue doing all the carries.

I believe the law of diminishing return partially has a lot to answer for as to why your simple solution isn't so simple & easy.

Give the best player on the field more ball might work in Under 10's, not at NRL level.

IMO basically all Cronk has done is master all the basics of footy. In a comp full of flogs, thugs and show ponies, he’s smart enough to realise that so long as he holds onto the ball, keeps his cool and doesn’t do anything stupid, then the game is his.

As such, I think he would be an awesome coach. Far too many players wanna look good by holding the ball with one hand, doing no look passes and offloading for no reason. Cronk’s like tge calm the fark down and play properly kind guy...

Robbo has me worried for the reasons already listed by other posters (<ME> in particular). Where's the improvement in the team that doesn't come from injections of players such as SBW, Jennings, Maloney, and Keary? And the less said about the cows prelim, the better - coach has to wear that one as well as the players.
