well that confirms it for me. If a total wank like Mason reckons it's a bad move it must be golden. If Mitchell is really spitting the dummy over this, it shows just how immature he is. That's disappointing. But I guess we have always known that, and that's part of the reason we have approached Cronk. Maturity, professionalism, leadership ability, both on and off the field. I think this is the best potential signing for our club since Craig Fitzgibbon.
I just hope all this hoo haa about turmoil amongst the players doesn't make Cronk have second thoughts about joining us, and it could have. someone from the club , probably Robbo, needs to step up now and front the media with a group of the senior players as a united front supporting the Cronk signing.
I have my doubts about Friend as a long term proposition as well, and if he can't see his way clear to accept Cronk whole heartedly then I think he will have to go as well. He justifies his position by making 50 plus tackles, but how many are one on one, and how many lock up the ball? Surely a more skilled dummy half is more important.
I think we saw a dummy spit from Latrell early in the year because he was dropped from fullback, fortunately it was nipped in the bud with some severe action, the kid might well be a potential superstar but last year he was horrendous at FB, and was never ready for it this year either, If his defence doesn't improve dramatically I can't even see him as a centre just yet hope he accepts that he is still learning, and his best spot is on the wing for the moment.Last edited by NorfolkStreetKid; 10-26-2017, 08:08 PM.

Still supported the chooks as a team (apart from him) and club, simply did it from the couch at home til he was gone. Then re-newed my membership and financial commitment to the club.
Whilst I disliked SBW, it wasn't to the extreme that I cancel my membership again. I just didn't clap or cheer him as an individual whilst at the games - simple enough to do. Ferguson gets pixie claps from me if he's lucky nowdays!
I'm not sure why anyone would cancel their membership over Cronk coming though - he seems like a genuine, decent bloke and a total clean skin. I didn't think JuJu had that many supporters at the club!
That you took that money you used to by memberships and donated it to a local Easts Junior club and continue to do so even though you have resumed your membership

Try and be serious and you will look stupid

Well I follow and support the Rooster, the ESRLFC, and whoever puts on the RWB jumper is a favourite player of mine, and whoever leaves the club, I wish them well in their future. I do not and will not support a team because a certain player plays for them, I follow and will always follow the Roosters, and if there is no Roosters team, I lose interest in RL in general.
So those of you who have already bought memberships and have jerseys you want to throw away, PM me and I'll be happy to take them off your hands if it makes you feel any better.
But I think you're missing the point if you think people are cancelling over one player. It's the thought process and integrity of the decision that most (including myself) have an issue with, whether it affected 10 players or 1 is kind of irrelevant.
I wasn't a fan of the way the club dealt with the SKD axing, he deserved so much better as a farewell regardless of what he did & Mitchell Pearce deserves so much better too.
At the end of the day the only voice fans really have is with their money so if there's people passionate enough about the issue then good luck to them trying to get their voice heard.
I can't relate as I've never been mad enough to want to cancel my membership but I can certainly empathise.

Supporting Pearce is definitely unfashionable, it's kind of like Trump. No one says it publicly because the opposition opinions are generally so brutally forward & aggressive, but there's always plenty of support there. He always gets a good cheer at home games & is pretty popular at members gatherings.

we have always been seen as one of the least liked and least loyal clubs in the nrl, there is a reason why... it’s true.
