Anyone know, please, that if we have a player...say Nikorima, on $400,000 a season and we release him to the Broncos...and the Broncos pay him $200,000 a season...and we have to pay him the $200,000 difference...does that $200,000 have to be included in our salary figure every season until his contract with us has expired?

So, Pearce is allegedly offended and wants out.
Got 2 years to run on his contract? reportedly at $800,000 a season.
If Pearce decides to go elsewhere, say Manly, and Manly can only offer him $600,000 a season...can we have him sign a no-payment release so we don't have to pay the difference and include the $200,000 in our salary cap?
