I'm hearing you JT. I thought I hated Manly and the Storm more but watching the game against the Cowboys on Sunday I realised just how much I despise this sharks team. Fifita, Graham, Ennis are all players I cannot stand. But Gallen and Flanagan still come top of the list.
They were revolting to Manly mid-90's proportions.

I absolute loathe Brisbane. So much so that if they win this weekend I'll be cheering on the Storm the following week because I'd probably cut myself and then jump into shark infested waters if we lose to Brisbane in the GF.
I could tolerate losing to the Storm because they've been the best team all year by a mile; even if Smith is a ****. I'll get over it.
But the Broncos? **** those entitled, arrogant cap inflated scum.
I hate them more than Souffs.

In 2015 I looked through their side and realised I hated about half of them with a passion - and that's not even getting to the coach.
A lot of those players are still there.

Wow, Flanno went off again the morning after to a channel 10 reporter.
He really is the biggest flog in the game. No contest.
Well played Andrew Webster for ripping into him and the club. Saying that they always have someone else to blame and did it with Asada and the Fifita fiascos. A real victim mentality at the horrible club.

I really can't stand the Sharks these days and he and Gallen are the reasons why. Flanagan has never admitted to any part in the drugs scandal. He sees himself as the victim. He also thinks he's untouchable because he has friends in the media who will defend and excuse his role in the whole thing.

IMO the punishment shoulda been more like this:
- Absolutely no concessions for any of you!!! You had the chance to come clean and instead chose to publicly criticise ASADA through every step of the process. Time to retire Gal... no last game, no hero's send-off and you'll retire without a premiership to your name.
- Sharks... you are a frigging disgrace!!! Garbage dump stadium isn't up to NRL standards because there's no seats for opposition fans (even when they book seats you post security around the stands to block them out - including Jizzy's wife when she was 6 months pregnant... 'I don't give a sh*t that you paid more, no Roosters fans are going up there tonight!!!') oh and no disabled access. The opposition are forced to park their bus around the corner in a dirt pit, with no discreet back exit. And jeez... there is no public transport to your stadium, or way out that doesn't involve waiting for 2 hours for a bottleneck to clear! You've put the game into disrepute by systematically using peptides throughout the club and then rather than coming clean, you've publicly asserted that an independent government watchdog is corrupt. The fact you've performed so poorly despite all of this highlights how pathetic you are!!! We do not think you represent our vision or values... the NRL will survive without your franchise. We already have interest from people wanting to open up their own franchises... goodbye.Last edited by ism22; 09-12-2017, 08:30 PM.

Just watching the press conference, my thoughts...
1. Flannooooooo starts by whinging that Maloney got kicked off for a professional foul (no mention of the fact he got off the other week)
2. Gal then jumps in and says 'yeah the other week Cords milked a penalty and it cost us the game' (he's your farking Origin mate!!! Why is Gal having a go at the new NSW captain and calling him a cheat?!?)
3. Flanno keeps bringing up the names of players who called the refs BS after the game... absolutely no sense of chivalry in that!
4. At the end, Flanno makes it clear that both teams were 'brave', it was a good quality game and he was impressed by the opposition's skills/attitude. I think this is important because people are saying he didn't.
5. At the start he made it VERY clear that there was no conspiracy, he just thought the refs had gotten a heap of things wrong during an important game
I hate the Sharks, but IMO a fair question is... what's the head ref's response to those accusations? I don't think the NRL's 'HOW DARE YOU MAKE SUCH ACCUSATIONS!!!' stance takes away the fact he's listed out 10 situations where in his opinion the refs got it wrong. I didn't watch the game, but they all sound plausible. Including:
- Calling 1 penalty but not another that happened first
- Being overly harsh when it comes to sin-binning and then missing other more blatant penalties
- Calling a knock-on when the ball went backwards and/or was stripped
- Allowing opposition players to regularly take out a key player before he's got the ball
- Inconsistencies between calling 'knock-on' and 'penalty' when the ball has been raked (Maguire exposed this one earlier in the year and like I suspected when playing them... he admitted that he always tried to rake the ball in a way that made it look like a knock-on)
- The bunker being given the wrong question to answer, forcing them to confirm an on-filed call that was quite literally a stab in the dark
I hate the Sharks and I hate Flanno, but these are things that I've been seeing all season. It is really frustrating that this kinda stuff happens and IMO rather than blaming Flanno for crowds being down, maybe the NRL should look into improving the consistency of their calls.
A better explanation than a 'conspiracy' is generally incompetence. Is the NRL taking wrong calls seriously enough, penalising refs properly and reviewing stats about patterns in refing? Flanno's words and timing probably aren't the best and he is being branded by the media as being a sore loser. However, what kind of a winner is then going to say 'oh yeah... we won a GF BUT... man the refs were bad and we really shoulda lost... glad they mucked up those last 3 calls!' Not gonna happen. I hope the NRL take these claims seriously and some effort is put into the quality of decision making for next season.
