I'm still unsure as to how that was awarded a try? Since when could a player ground the ball with their hip? Am I missing something?

What an insufferable individual Flannagan is. It still burns me that he and his partner in crime Gallen are GF winners. Both of them do nothing but whinge and whine as soon as every decision doesn't go there way and there is not a skerrick of class between them.

How good is it that both Moanly and the Peptide Kings are gone for 2017. The finals are all the better for it.

No joke, listening to it reminded me of the pen. The moral is, there are 100s of line balls every game and each supporter believes their side deserves the majority of them. I'm sick of the whinging and blaming of officials after every game. I went out and watched a country league grand final today. One ref. No replays. No bunker. One team won and one team lost. No one was talking about the officials after the game.
League needs to get back to its roots.

i actually quite like watching u20s refs cause they have to make the decisions on the spot, and they do a good job, so much more enjoyable

You make valid points. But in this day and age where there is so much technology and TV replays involved people arent going to cop bad calls.

I'm guessing that the country GF you saw probably didn't have big screens showing replays. This probably allows for alot of 50/50 calls and errors to go unquestioned.

As fans what is more important? A flowing game or ensuring that we have the right decision?
