I am a member of the trust however if the reno happens,as i have suggested previously that our games be played at north sydney oval.perfect location public transport wise etc etc etc.
I am not posting this due to the big crowd they had there on saturdays shute shield union gf.

          I'll endeavour to answer .

Long time since I attended a game, but I do recall a very long queue at the stadium in the past.
And people are paying a lot to go. (pardon the pun)
Some of us develope prostate problems as we travel through life as well.
And a beer or three used to be mandatory at the footy.

Difficult question to answer , to be honest.
Did you like the idea of Rooster coloured seats?
          Perhaps in a V pattern?

          Coloured seating sounds cool .

yep toilets would of been more of an issue when people went and watched all 3 grades and spent more time at the game, but the facilities at the SFS are huge! I think the main reason for upgrade is the fire regulations are in such a poor state.

Peter Gow knows all about the waiting time for a toilet break at the SFS.

Has to be if common sense comes into it.

Broke my heart when the old sports ground was demolished , so I'm no fan of plastic stadium.
                    But knocking it down????????????
I remember a nsw politician stating the ground was old and/or obsolete................
                    1988 isn't that long ago.

                    3 points for a good " reno ".

                    1- Weather protection.

                    2- Toilet and bar facilities.

3- (most important of all) Replacing 2/3rds of the plastic bucket seats with red and white ones, and making the rest a darker shade of blue.

                    .
....and a PA system that actually works !

If it's only for 12 months maybe they could look at Concord Oval.

I can't recall the seating capacity but I have a feeling it's a tad small?

But in saying that wherever the team goes they can always send a fair few up to Blue Tounge and rotate games, it's a nice drive and has a good club for after game celebrations or commiserations and dining.

Am I the only one who likes smaller stadiums? We'll get max 20,000 people to a REALLY packed game (e.g. the ANZAC test). Why have a stadium that fits 40-50k when it's gonna sit 3/4 empty most weeks?

It's a brand new stadium (compared with many), it's HUGE and it has that modern curved look. IMO knocking it down is a ridiculous waste of public money. Stuart Ayres is a clown...

I agree about the smaller stadiums and the atmosphere they create. I just don't recall concord being much bigger than about 10k but I havnt driven past there in many years.
