Like Ivan Cleary, I think Watson has the attributes to make a good fullback. I just don't know how well he goes under the high ball. But his running and his support play suit fullback. I don't think he is skillful enough to play halves and he isn't a kicker either.

The high ball he struggled with was one of the best bombs you will see that came down in a heap of traffic, I'm not going to judge him on that
We are seeing the same thing. I reckon Watson is a fullback.

Terrible news. So more suspense tomorrow for an unscathed Fergo - in my opinion he should be the FB replacement especially with the bomb merchants coming up Manly Storm, and of course Sharks again so goal conversion dilemma.... Jesus christ.

As stated many times, I'm a watson fan. Can't buy speed and he has it. Time for his chance. He lacks experience but the only way you get experience is experience. Will make mistakes. Just hope he is afforded time as it is a challenging position to master. Gordon has had a career to learn it.

having said that the ROOstar's fullback is fast and most able. If robbo believes watson not ready don't be surprised to see the other bloke given his chance.

Watson is a FB and I hope they give him the chance. It's always better to go with the least positional changes.

I don't think Watson has the game management to be a half. Fullback for me.

Robbo has a few options- depends on what work Latrell and Fergo did during pre-season to get the miles in the legs for fullback as they say - Watson trained at Fullback during pre-season

                  Watson - FB
Maubs to Centre and Latrell FB
Maubs to Centre - Fergo FB and Latrell to wing

Goal Kicking - Latrell and SST the options - SST most likely first choice and Latrell to take over when he's off.- Both need to get the practice in though

Remember Mr Versatile Nathan Wood? IMO, Connor Watson's style of play and energy resembles him.

                    Anyone else agree?

Except that Connor Watson seems to be actually talented.

You would seriously put Manu and Mitchell together? That's a defensive nightmare !! Or are you saying to move Toops across to the right again?

Watson to FB, Maubs to Hooker, then have Matto/Guerra or Matto/SST with Liu at lock when Cords eneviatbly goes down tonight.

Where would we be without Mitchell Aubusson?

                            His versatility is invaluable.

                            Roosters legend.
