I have a perfect fix for Cricket Australia to get loyalty from the players. You want to play IPL instead of a shield game, you don't play for Australia for that year. Make it like the old Australian Cricket Captain game, where you have to earn the right to play as Australia.
i dont follow cricket i have no idea what you are talking about i am making the point that origin players dont play for the teams for free out of passionate loyalty if anything if they werent getting 30k a game i doubt the stars would play at all

I doubt the Wannabies v All Blacks would rate higher nationally than the origin in NSW & QLD + other states. The wannabies are crap and they are no competition and I'm saying this as an ex rugby (suburban open) player who has lost interest in the Australian team since the days of Gregan, Larkham, Mortlock an Burke.

Even the worst NRL weekly game is more interesting than what the wannbaies are dishing out.

burst out laughing when Dugan limped off last night, yeah ok mate. Seeing him, Frizell and De Belin sheepishly sat on that bench. What a coincidence!

I just hope he's 100% for Game III.

If he plays and tears his calf then our season has been pissed away for Exhibition Game Glory.

Exactly, I can just see him doing himself in game 3 and out for the year.

So am I right in thinking that many Chooks supporters don't want rep players signing for us because they'll miss games for us during the season? Interesting, as whenever a rep player is on the market the Pen demands that Robbo sign them up.

Can't have it both ways - we either have a very average team where none of them are good enough to play rep footy or we have the benefit of talented players and accept that they will miss games for rep footy. And those players have a much greater chance of injury because of their workload.

Look at JT and the NQ. He got injured playing for Aus and Qld. But ask NQ whether they want JT at their club and the answer will be - my oath we do!

Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Fans whinge that their best players haven't been picked to represent NSW or QLD so they say their not interested in the SOO...Ask fans of South and Parra and other teams and they say they don't care because no one represents them...
If fans don't want their best players to play rep games, they should follow AFL... They got nuffin!

Yep, my biggest fear atm re. Origin. He will play if he's still injured or 80% fit. That's a real worry (has Robbos blessing by the way). Say good bye to our season if he tears that calf. I wonder if Daley would take the risk in playing him injured. As Daley thinks the Rugby League season is all about Origin, I'd reckon he would play him at the expense of Cords being injured destroying the Roosters season.

Yep the season all comes down to that calf.

What is Flanno's problem with easts? Did he leave on bad terms after Sticky era? Wasn't it when we were looking at signing unwanted Tagatese, that suddenly sharks extended his contract? Even in the press, remarks regarding easts are never favourable.

Goes back to 2006 when Sticky was sacked as coach and Flanno put his hand up as a potential coach for 2007 and was also sacked by Nick as Bennett had agreed to coach then backed out of it when it was mentioned in the press that he was to coach us - said if it was reported he would not come so obviously people at the Bronco's knew and leaked it to the press. Nick signed Chris Anderson as coach for 2007 which was a disaster and I am sure Ricko was some sort of assistant coach as well as I understand it was his idea of the one marker. Freddy was added to the coaching staff or may have been assistant from the get go in 2007?- Anyway Freddy took over when Anderson resigned after Manly flogged us 56 to 0 I recall.- I Remember when we beat the Storm at home in 2007 26-16 in the second round Freddy getting a standing ovation from the Rooster Faithful a highlight of 2007. We just missed the 8 finishing on 23 points - Brisbane 8th on 24- Melbourne minor premiers and premiers that year in 2007 were later stripped of this premiership along with their 2009 one due to systemic salary cap breaches.

The feelings towards Flanno are mutual amongst Roosters fans.

Boyd this morning declared that he is 100% confident of playing on Wednesday night, for our sake I hope he isn't rushing back just because its an Origin decider, if he rips that calf muscle again he isn't playing again before the finals.
