  • looking forward to see how Manu/Mitchell hold up against the Storm

no other team in the comp will test these two out defensively better than the Storm, they will run decoys at them often to see how they react and won't let them rest for the full 80 minutes.

really interested to see how Robbo will combat this.

I don't think we have been consistent enough this year to match the Storm, but it will be a good test/reality check to where we need to get too by finals time.

If we play our best we will beat them

hope we do, just think they are a level above us right now.

The Storm are so clinical and their wrestle can frustrate us.

To beat them I feel we need to complete our sets at a high % and get some second phase play going to upset their well structured D.

if we get Cummins then we're absolutely ****ed.

Storm are the benchmark imo. Will be interesting to see what we've got.

A Storm fan made a great point about his own team in that they set the benchmark all year but invariably another team will lift their game another level come finals time where as they don't have that extra gear.

In 2012 their level was enough. But in 13 14 15 and 16 another club peaked at the right time and had too much for them.

i hope we're that club this year. Tbh if we don't win the comp I can't see who else but the Storm will given that I just don't see a b2b Premier any time soon.

I can't see a team outside of Roosters, Storm or Sharks winning.

We just seem to play better against the better teams...that gives me some confidence. We usually up the ante against Melbourne.

We definitely dont have a great record against them. We always struggle with teams that slow down the ruck as we rely so heavily on fast play the balls.

                      Im not confident.
I would love to see the Chooks win but if they dont I just hope they give them a good run for their money. I want to see the Roosters (win or lose) be competitive & I hope to hear Melbourne say after the game that the Roosters have been the hardest team that they have played this year.

                      Go the MIGHTY ROOSTERS

I'm sure I heard one of the commentators in last week's Storm game say that they are the most penalised team in the comp to date. Now a call out to all the penalty stats experts on here to check that out.

Agreed and there's no real way around it other than to be patient. We are royally screwed if we toss it around like we did against the Tigpies.

What will be interesting to see is how disciplined the most ill disciplined team is or is not when they play Roosters.
