    [QUOTE=bondi-boy;n694781]

    It's all about winning matches.
    Ferguson is a match-winner.

Who's going to play on the wing and win games like Fergo does?
    Some rookie?

We only won the last premiership because we had SBW.
    We're not going to win

Didnt an old epl manager say you win nothing with kids ?

Why? The turkey is only regurgitating rumours that are circulating on the internet and pretending not to be the insignificant nuisance he has always been. Some rumours may be true, some false. His reputation will remain intact regardless.

i hope the club stops trying to save these idiots like carter in the future

I always had the feeling it was destined to be a disaster signing. The guy seems to have some very serious issues.

            ROOSTERS’ SECOND THOUGHTS ON BLAKE

THE Roosters remain unsure about re-signing Origin and Kangaroos winger Blake Ferguson.

The problem is Ferguson wants big money but the Roosters are baulking because they now regard him as a specialist winger and not a fullback or centre, where he has been found out in defence.

The Roosters will only offer him a one-year extension deal, even though he’s only 27.

But that’s another story. The club is still not convinced about his off-field demeanour.

There is talk of an incident early this year where he very narrowly avoided trouble.

Ferguson’s agent, Sam Ayoub, is now shopping him around to rival clubs. There has been interest from St George Illawarra and two other clubs.

            #####

            Hmmm...big money?
            Wonder how big.

            One year extension?
            One year at a time?

I'd still sign him, for reasonable money...not unreasonable money.
The Club got 'Maloney' wrong...hope they know what they're doing in this case.

This "perfect player" idea is flawed...IMO.
Friend is a perfect example....so too Pearce.

You'd think some of these players would lock themselves away at home until their big money footy careers are over.

I think there are better wingers then Fergo out there that are cheaper.

Toops would be much higher on my priority re-signing list.

I think the club would be crazy to pay overs for him. If what Saints say is true and they aren't looking for a centre to replace Duggan then it leaves the 2 wooden spoon candidates. It's a case of who is going to blink first.

Of course not but if it's on the Chookpen then it must be true.

                        Ferguson is a match-winner.

Butcher has yet to be proven to be able to play FG to top standard.
We have forwards to cover Butcher if he doesn't work out.
                        We must keep Fergo.

We're not going to win premierships with rookies.

We let Maloney go [who should've been the first player re-signed]...Sharks won the comp...we finished, you know where.
Just wondering which Roosters games over the last year that Fergo has won on his own? I mean....there would have to be a few if he is a match winner.

Fergo's defensive reads go from OK to bloody shocking regularly, he's a real liability defensively. Also he's always going down hurt for one reason or another. A big risk for the dollars he would want imo.

He might want to get that sorted before Wednesday night!

Not sure if this has already been reported on here but Connor Watson has been given a tour of the Newcastle facilities and Barry Toohey has confirmed he has been given permission by the Roosters to do so. For 2018 season.
                              Can't keep them all.

with some of the players we're shredding and the increase in salary cap, will we be resigning either tupou or fergo or actually signing any fowards or wingers? or have we just thrown all the money into the teddy pile?
