        Nice!
5 doesn't go into 4. Who are we letting go Toups or Fergo?

Both those guys will re sign with us also. Gordon will play reserve grade but will be cover and obviously play during origin. Hearing Tedesco might kick!?

Toops to Parra I hear- 4 year deal more cash- So we need a goal kicker as Latrell not quite ready to be the main goal kicker as yet and needs another year to really establish himself as an NRL player- will still work on goal kicking though- Fergo to be announced as re-signing very soon

We better not lose Toops Salvo. Hope your mail is wrong there.

His Manager went back to Parra and their counter offer has surpassed the Roosters one. All should know we are technically over the cap for 2018 since the cap wont be 10 mill as expected - we are I have been told 10.1 mill- so 600k at least or more of players to shop around to be under the expected cap of 9.5 mil - Maybe more since cap includes payment to the players union(400 k or so) which clubs don't want included as part of the cap agreement and more negotiations are needed on these matters of what the cap includes.

We need to see how Brisbane's 3rd parties work as surely we have some private non connected sponsors who can fork out cash for TPA's to keep players we want to re-sign. So basically as it stands even with a 9.5 mill cap only 9.1 will be available for contracted player wages since player union payments from my understanding of 400 k or so are included in the expected 9.5 mill cap.

Toops will re-sign. He loves the club too much and appreciates the environment.

Don't forget Salvo's mail on Teddy. And how accurate it was.

I'd much rather lose Fergo and keep Toups.

Would cost less, and given the incredible combination with Latrell on the flank it would be mad to let him go.

Wouldn't faze me too much if we lost Fergo tbh

Fergo to re-sign Toops to Parra - cannot keep both and Parra's offer to Toops is more than the Chooks can afford basically due to being over the cap for 2018 as I said above- Gordon as quoted didn't re-sign for another year to play reggies so the club knows Toops is leaving and we need a goal kicker in 2018

                          https://www.triplem.com.au/sport/nrl...repay-the-club

In a time when it sometimes seems like contracts and club loyalty mean little, Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read has a refreshing report on one of the league's nice guys.

"Michael Gordon has basically told the club that he wants to stay, and in typical Michael Gordon fashion, he's said that he's willing to play wherever they want him to play, and he's willing to sit out weeks if they want to give some young kids a game," Ready said.

"He's basically said that he's willing to do whatever they want in order to stay.

"He's obviously a unique player and a unique person."

Gordo said he wasn't fussed about playing on having built a house on the north coast and making a commitment to play one last season with the local team with his mates next year or the year after if he played on in the NRL - so re-signing him means something we wont be aware of until other player futures(Toops/Fergo) are announced if you get my drift. Obviously one of these players are not re-signing and well I am assured by someone whom that one is

Is it the same person who assured you that Teddy wasn't coming?
