Pearce was awesome in the back end of 2014. It had more to do with a yellow dress than NSW winning origin on the back of Hayne and a flukey try by some halfback whom I forget the name of.

My gut felling is QLD winning game one.
My main concern is our players picking up injuries, so there is four players involved I'm keeping my fingers crossed for.

As to Pearce..............he has his best chance to shut the critics up now that drugman and whiteant have buggered off.
If any result of this "showpiece" game effects him mentally, or causes his form to drop................he's not the sort of character we wan't as our playmaker anyway.

      I wish him well.

Origin is a hiding to nothing for Pearce. Low penalty counts mean the games become giant cheat fests and the halfbacks get continually smashed by defences standing way offside. It'll be particularly bad for him with two games in Qld. The blues will lose and he'll be made the scapegoat. Same old rubbish.

He'll be right though he's been through it all before.

NSW should win the first one .Depends on the refs and there 10m last game last year the ref kept a decent 10 and they won.
QLD thrive on been the underdogs .They do it better than anyone in any sport.
Our forwards must not allow QLD to shell shock us.
NSW must stand deeper in attack in all facets of the game to give themselves space.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

This is a new situation for Pearce in origin, to be able to control the team fully. He will succeed this year, and he will make a lot of people eat their words, hope we all get behind him no matter who we go for.

He's spent the day at Byron Bay with Boyd today so hopefully those two are working well with each other and acknowledging what a big game next week will be for the both of them.

I think he'll do well now that the team is probably the best in years. There are so many winners in the team, I can't remember a stronger team in the last 10 years.

Wonder what the stats are for injuries during Origin? I recognise the risk but like... I reckon players are possibly just as likely to pick something up while training during the Origin period. Wonder what the risk is... origin players v others?

I have this recurring nightmare where a fired up Dylan Napa goes absolutely ballistic and injures some of his Roosters teammates wearing Blue Jerseys. Good luck to all our boys playing origin, it's the pinnacle of our game and you deserve to be there . Go the Blues !

Napa hasn't put on a hit for over a year. I think our boys are safe.

They don't use butter in origin. They eat their bread dry.

I reckon klemmer and napa will have eyes for each other, people have been waiting for that origin clash for a couple of years now. Hope they go hard and bring back a bit of feeling to origin.

Pearce and Origin are two words that shouldn't go together. Sorry, I love the chooks, but............................................... ........
Pearce is a very good club player.
