Watson would be fully aware of his role in the team. If he does't like too bad.
With the concussion rule Robbo wants a utility player.
I think the bench was used very well, Watson went on when one of our players went off for a concussion test and stayed on.
I don't think it was used bad, but Watson could have come on once it went 30+. The last thing we need during SOO a player that has a lot of time in training but little time real game time. If he has to replace Pearce for a whole game around that time, it may take him long to adjust to all aspects of playing 80 mins. We could have used him against the warriors in the last 10-15...

Riiiight so we destroy a side who has won 3 straight 48 to 10 The biggest scoreline of the year Yet we have fans whom are critical of the use of our bench

If you are talking about yesterday. Then I was perfectly happy with the way it was used. The game before I hoped Watson would be brought on with 15 to go like this week. In saying that even with how fatigued Jake looked against the Warriors I think from memory he got us 3 repeat sets in the back half of the 2nd half. So in my eyes he contributed well enough to validate Robbo keeping him out there for the 80.

The only problem with the bench is that Watson shouldn't be there.
He adds very little from dummy half. Watson's best position is in the halves which is not required until SOO if Pearce gets picked.
Carter should be there who can be used as backrow rotation if he is not requiried at dummy half.
I think once SOO is over and Matto is back that Watson won't get a look in and Friend will likely play 80 minutes.

You make a Good point. That's all this is about, different opinions about the game not the posters. Cheers!
