Massive effort from JWH. 200M from 58 straight minutes.
SST was amazing. The guy is playing better than he ever has.
Fergo's best game of the year. I hope it isn't because of SOO or trying to get a new contract.
Flash 8 from 9 and just missed the 9th. Obviously JT's first job was to fix our goal kicking problem.
Latrell. There are no words. His success is totally up to him.

Fergos tries were fair. What were you watching?

Great Sunday arfternoon at the footy. Great team performance if we play in this manner on a consistent basis our team will be still around at the back end of the competition this year. Im a very happy Roosters supporter today. When you trust your television

Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

Great win and what a difference has the return of SST has made to our pack.
Once Matto returns to the bench we will be a force to be reckoned with, we just need to get through the origin period unscathed on the injury front and win the games which are winnable.
JWH slowly building into the season as I suspected he would.
Latrell our x factor, not getting too carried away but we have the ability to give this comp a shake, however, it will require some luck.Last edited by Parkway_Drive; 05-15-2017, 01:07 PM.Originally posted by boogie

First convincing win in a while, with a laundry list of positives. Sure, parramatta were dreadful and not up for it, but regardless of their performance, we didn't gift them dropped balls in-goal within 5, 10 minutes.. no fumbles near the line to give them a leg up with tries... no forced offloads from impossible positions or loose carries in every set leading to dumb early handovers.
Sick to death of watching opposition get all their tries from our basic errors. What a breath of fresh air to sit there, relax and enjoy, and not feel like we snuck in a win purely based on the other team being crap, or that we got lucky.
Great to see Gordon back in business as well, what a difference the goalkicks makes. His niggle / groin may have fully recovered, also he clearly took longer in his lead up to the kicks yesterday than in previous weeks, both may be related, who knows. All i do know is that games have been too tight lately because of our conversion rate.

Lucky is winning by a point or 2.
Fergos tries were fair. What were you watching?
Yeah, I agree with you Thirteen, except that I never said that we were lucky to win. I said that we were lucky with some of the decisions, notably two of Ferguson's tries. I am not saying that we should not have been awarded those two tries, in fact I was in danger of drowning with happiness at the time. If STGI or Souths (or any other team) scored those two tries against us in an identical manner, I would have cursed the referees. I wish that more 50/50 decisions went our way. You can't measure luck in a football match with a points margin, it can only be measured by the bounce of the ball and the accuracy/inaccuracy of those officiating.
But to say we were lucky when we won by 40 is rather amusing.
Tommy, read above, I never said that we were lucky to win. I hope that we play as well as, and better than, for the rest of the season. I just traveled through the long road of my memory to find the amount of games in which I was wishing for Easts to lose. Couldn't find one instance.
