Seems like a ploy to mentor Latrell and Manu.

Are the Storm happy to let him go? They seem to be losing a lot of players and no big name signings yet. It doesn't quite seem right that they would let another experienced player go.

He's much better suited to playing longer minutes than he is playing as an impact player but he will no doubt get that opportunity through suspension, injury & rep duties. Very important that we have a prop who can start and play long minutes when needed, Sam Moa used to do it for us but obviously isn't with us anymore and we've struggled to fill that void with Liu when Napa was out this year.

Liu is the perfect bench prop, been out of form to start the sesaon but been brilliant for us over the past 3 years.

As for being too small, Tetevano is 187cm and 107kgs... since when is that too small? They're almost identical stats to Matt Scott and it didn't really affect his career.
That may be the only stat Tetevano matches Matt Scott, he has about a 1/4 of Scott' impact. I will trust you on those stats and I think he is a good guy to have at the club as an 18th of 19th man in the squad, but he doesn't have anywhere near Moa's 2013 or 2014 impact, closer to Moa 2016 imho. Isaac Liu went well as a bench Lock but unfortunately there is no evidence he can aim up as a bench front rower based on his performances, so I can't consider him a perfect bench front rower. I also think next year Liu won't be in our top 17.

Both Liu and Tetevano lack the ability to go through the advantage line, pairing one with a dominant front rower may be ok, but not together. Liu looks very slow this year and has been well below his standard of the past. If we want someone to give SST a rest, then I would go with Butcher over Liu any day of the week. Butcher is a potential origin and Test player imo, Liu is a career bench player. I would like Collins to get an opportunity to play off the bench in the coming weeks to see what he can do. I think he is a better front rower prospect.

I am with Bigchook too, love Aubbo but he should not be a starter in 2018, I would rather Matto to come into the starting lineup. Aubbo to the bench to cover backrow minutes but also cover backline injuries as well. Butcher on the bench to play some Lock and 2 front rowers including Collins if he can kick on and bring in a new signing for the other bench spot. I would also like to lock up Radley, however I don't think he will be a first grade Lock. To me he looks more suited to Aubbo's role going forward or even dummy half, he has great playmaking ability in addition to a excellent running game and defence. I also think he has the attributes to play Centre strangely enough and maybe second row if his body fills out more. His body shape to me is not what is suited to Lock in the NRL.

If we do in fact sign Chambers. my money would be on SKD and Fergo both hitting the road, Latrell and Chambers being our centres with Manu and Toops on the wings. With a view in a few years time to Manu and Latrell being our centres.

            Agree.

Need a goalkicker as SST will probably not play 80 mins and another prop from outside to club to compliment our up and coming props in Knight, Collins and Farma.

Picking up a journeyman prop shouldnt be as difficult as finding a goal kicker though, there are not many on the market. Maybe we will invest in Latrell to kick goals alongm with SST?

Bellamy does move on his second rowers, centres and wingers (think Inglis, Folau, Jeremy Smith, Korabeatie, Waqa, Hoffman, Procter, etc) once they hit their late 20s and will cost a bank to retain.

The Storm will have a sizeable amount to spend and with more talent being on the market I am sure they will be shrewd and pick up a couple of good signings. Bellamy has a habit of getting players to play beyond their potential plus they did sign a couple of outstanding junior backs from other clubs a couple of years ago. I recall a centre from Cronulla or 5/8th who was meant to be the pick of his age group (Drinkwater?), but TBH i don't know how they are travelling in the lower grades.

How funny is this sort of shit from Mark Geyer...
                ________________
The Roosters have had a very strong recruitment drive over the last few seasons - causing the Grill Team's Mark Geyer to take a cheeky jibe at the club.

"Roosters players must play for $80, 000 each or something," MG said.
                _______________

Firstly, we've probably been one of the least active clubs on the recruitment front over the last 5 years. And that's because of the amount of talent we've brought through the club.

                Secondly, POT. KETTLE. BLACK.

How many players have your Panthers bought over the last few years, MG?

Gus has brought half the freaking NRL player pool to Penrith over the last 5 years.

                They're the new transit lounge.

These turds have no idea how ironic their comments are.

Geyer the Westie has always had a big chip on his shoulder.
Harrigan should have let him and Wally have it out in that origin game. I really think Wally would have smashed him.

He is so jealous of the Roosters.
He doesnt realise than the Panthers are one of the main clubs that go & out buy established first graders from other clubs.
