He was found innocent last year but certainly ended up looking like a fool with some of the details that came out. After that, not even a year later he thinks it is okay to go to a nightclub, buy cocaine and then get found by the cops with it. Society is soft. People are soft. The guy farked up in a big way and he has been crap on the field as well. SKD does not have his priorities straight. But yeah lets get him some help.

Why should we get all high and mighty.
2 Weeks is BS, particularly when they were representing their country!!!

Needs saying that the club should support him emotionally. It is the humane and right thing to do. Skd has bled for this club and deserves that.
Guilty or not, The club needs to sack him. $300k sponsorships don't fall out of trees. Skd's actions have cost him, the club, fans, sponsors and his team mates. I empathise with him but the last straw is that sponsorship covered his salary. Now we lose a player and a sponsor.Written and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland

Jake never went to rehab either as someone wrongly said, unless you count Jman's cafe. He did have to attend weekly classes on a Monday night for alcohol treatment but he was never admitted into any sort of clinic."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

SKD is not at rat, the night he was caught, he was having drinks with several roosters players, he is a stand up guy and would not rat on any teammates, and has not returned any text msg from his fellow players, Josh Massoud on big sports breakfast. Also said the nrl didn't want the roosters to stand him down, and let due process take place, but because of negative headlines last year, the roosters want to look like they are taking a stance,

"Such is life"
Part of the cost of doing business...that involves human beings.
Just tick the $300,000 up to the 2013 Grand Final...and the 'Bondi bobbydazzler' SKD was on the end of, running like an express train and caught the ball, scored, broken jaw and all.
We win...Many lose.
Sack him?
Nah.
The Club might need him come season's finals.
NRL policy says he can have a second chance.
We should invoke that.

Actually I have not really commented on what I think should happen.I don't think this is the end of the world. However, the fact remains that he has disgraced himself and the club. I'm not an anti-drug guy but I am a fan of people making smart decisions. SKD just keeps proving that he is not very bright. For me the worst part of his crime was getting caught.
Anyway, thank you for offering your opinion without resrting to calling everyone who has a different opinion to yours a moron.
You will find my biggest issue with all of this is the way the NRL handles it all. And at the risk of you calling me moronic again, I will say that it's the media that runs the game and not the NRL. We have the Roosters standing down SKD indefinately. We have the Storm standing down their player for 2 weeks and the Titans 4 weeks. No consistency whatsoever and the NRL just sits by and does nothing. The media decides what the public should be outraged about. Apparently the Storm have a fantastic culture so its ok for them to suspend Bromwich for only 2 weeks because it's the Kangaroo's fault he got drunk and allegedly bought cocaine. Seriously?? The Titans have a not so great culture so it's ok for them to dish out a bigger sentence for the EXACT SAME offence. The Roosters are the Roosters so the more they are in the headlines for the wrong reasons the better. The Tigers are the media's favourite club to bash at the moment so imagine if it was one of their players?
I am not saying players should not be suspended or fined. They have disgraced their club, embarrassed their fans and disgraced the NRL. But where is the consistency in the punishment? The whole thing is a farce. Yes the NRL educate players about the dangers. Yes the players are complete idiots to ignore their education and risk it all anyway. But why aren't the punishments consistent?

That does not mean we throw him on the scrapheap and offer him no supprt and friendship.
And I'm glad i gave you a good laugh ER. I'm also well aware of how tough life is, which is why I offer compassion and not insults.
I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day on Sunday as you deserve it.

These guys earn more in 10-12 yrs of footy, than the average person does in 40yrs.
If they can't play footy anymore, then there are plenty of jobs around where you do not need a degree to earn decent coin, some people may have to work 10hrs a day, or do split shifts, or night work, but that is how people make a living, it just depends on how committed a person you are, or how lazy you are.
I love the excuse that because they have played footy all their lives that they can't get a job elsewhere."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli
