Only a few weeks ago this was doing the rounds and now that we are coming 2nd and looking good we have a Homage To Robbo thread . This place is hilarious.

    Here is the other thread.

    TIT people.

EDIT: Wasn't Danish the one who said Latrell would not be a star and will not be our X-factor because he didn't play 1st grade at 17 give or take? Severe foot in mouth disease she has.

Please show me where I have ever said anything bad about Robbo?

I wasn't referring to you because you started the Homage thread. Just funny how quickly some change their views on the coach or certain players within a few games.

Has Robbo's use of the bench improved and I am not aware of it? Its still a big issue for us that is going to be highlighted when we aren't playing against shite sides.

As for Latrell, I said he'd already missed the boat to be the next Inglis/Freddy/other absolute immortal class players he was being compared to type of player, as all those guys were starring for their state and country at ages younger than him. That still remains true.

FFS the kid is 3 games back from being dropped for a bad attitude. He's now playing well, comparable with guys like Jordan Rapana. Can we please give the poor kid a year of first grade before you all start piling on the "best player ever" pressure again?

I think Robbo should appoint Danish from the internet as his full time bench rotation advisor.

Robbo clearly knows nothing about bench rotation. Danish from the internet is obviously way more qualified to be making those decisions.

Well above expectations. Really look like we are building into the season well too.

              Touch wood.
I have us winning a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7 games in the run home, finishing anywhere from 3rd through to 6th or 7th depending on other results.

Hahaha, "Danish from the internet" - classic.

Soz Danish, no disrespect to you but that's a brilliant line.

He can appoint me as his bench advisor and you as his full time fluffer by the looks.

Although it seems like you'd do the job for free anyway

What does that mean for Joey and Thurston? Neither started starring for their state or country until their mid 20s..

They played in the halves, a position that requires that a) requires by far the most time to develop into, and b) is also one of the most locked down positions in rep sides, particularly when Joey and Thurston were learning their trade. If Freddy started his career as a 5/8 instead of a centre he'd have had to wait for his rep chance too.

The only genuine rep-level backline player I can come up with who didn't get his start until later in his career was Matt King. Adam Mogg probably could have too if he'd not pissed off to France I suppose.

Can you think of any backline player that would be ranked as the top 4-5 of their generation at their position who wasn't making rep sides in their teens? I certainly can't.

You lot can keep heaping the pressure on him to be an immortal at 19 and get angry if he "only" turns out to be our next, say, Ryan Cross. I'll be over the moon for the kid if he can achieve such a career.

I'll take on the fluffing of the cheerleaders. You can take on the fluffing of the coaching staff, that sounds more your style. With a name like Danish I'm sure you'd be well qualified.

Danish from the internet - bench rotation advisor and coaching fluffer. Perfect.

I'd hope you are referring to our adult cheerleaders but I fear you focus more on the little kids

Your VO2 max will go down by upwards of 20%, your blood pressure will go up (reducing maximum output) and recovery time for even simple injuries can increase by upwards of 40%.

It's an endurance sport and a recovery sport. Given the high percentage of important games that are won on 1%'ers, I think it's a very significant risk.

When I was a sprinter there was no room for risks because races were won and lost by milliseconds. IMO if your body is essential to your job then you shouldn't take risks with it. As an NSWIS scholarship holder my contract had a long list of stuff I couldn't do. Smoking was up the top but it also had stuff like 'no snowboarding'. From a club perspective, I think NRL contracts should include that sorta thing...
