Connor Watson playing fullback tonight for Wyong

If Watson is being exposed at fullback for Wyong it's just management covering all bases on the event that things don't work out with Tedesco or even Gordon for next year. If Watson played great last night for Wyong, it says that he has stepped up to a level where he might be too big for them...but it doesn't mean much at first grade where he has to prove himself there. I'm sure that management is pulling all stops for Tedesco. Watson is just plan B, C or D.

oh that's right I said Watson was being earmarked for fullback in 2018 and some games in 2017(Gordon playing injured) and there he is playing fullback- mmm interesting what else do I know as another of my posts has come true just like the others- Mitchell being rested for not solely football form reason - Robbo said same/ Parra after Nofoaluma/Feldt(to sign both is the word) only in todays paper this which I posted previously - I will keep you guessing perhaps what else I know :-)

For sure...Its good succession planning. Unless he is truly a freak, I'd hate for him to be our only option at fullback for the next year. Many were sold (me included) with the idea that Mitchell would be our fullback last year and that didn't work out well. I don't think that Mitchell is right yet, either on first grade experience at fullback or mentally and physically needs more work.

While adamant Mitchell would be back in the top grade sooner rather than later, there are others who are undoubtedly also walking the tightrope including Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Aidan Guerra and Daniel Tupou.


Its a fair cop the criticism of our team's performance but singling Daniel Tupou out is just lazy sports journalism that the Telegraph prides themselves on. Tupou has been in part of a small group that have consistently played well in all games in this season so far.
