    Here's the article Pee Gee....

    Roosters
    Sydney Roosters the only team in the NRL which has not won a second half

    THEY boast a star-studded roster that prides itself on professionalism, mental toughness and being fitter than the opposition.

    But a worrying trend has emerged in the Roosters’ recent performances that Trent Robinson must rectify in Friday night’s clash against the never-say-die Knights.

    After six rounds, the Roosters remain the only team in the NRL which has not won a second half.

    ROBBO: Mitchell ‘rested’, not axed

    Fox Sports Stats also show you have to go all the way back to round 23 in 2015 to find a game where the Roosters have won after trailing or being level with their opponents at halftime.

    After dropping their past two games to Manly and Brisbane, Robinson put his players on notice when he “rested” teenage star Latrell Mitchell for the crucial match in Newcastle.

    While adamant Mitchell would be back in the top grade sooner rather than later, there are others who are undoubtedly also walking the tightrope including Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Aidan Guerra and Daniel Tupou.

    “We have had different players over a few different weeks, it is the reason you lose games,” Robinson said without naming names.

    “I am sure there is eight teams from last week that would critique their players.

    “We have done that. We know where we are at. We know what we want to improve on and some of those guys are pretty clear about what they need to do this week.”

    The Roosters have slipped to fourth after starting the season with four straight wins. But take a closer look at the breakdown of those results and it shows:

    • (Round one v Gold Coast) Roosters led 28-0 at halftime. Titans won second half 18-4;

    • (Round two v Canterbury) Roosters led 16-8 at halftime. Bulldogs won second half 16-12;

    • (Round three v Penrith) Roosters led 10-8. Second half was 4-4;

    The Loz and Dog Show: Round 7
    • (Round four v Souths) Roosters led 14-0. Second half was 6-6;

    • (Round five v Manly) Scores level 6-6 at halftime. Manly won second half 12-6.

    • (Round six v Brisbane) Broncos led 14-8 at halftime and also won second half 18-0.

    While the TAB has the Roosters as short-priced $1.20 favourites with the Knights $4.50 outsiders, Robinson was cautious of the underdogs, who are winning widespread support for their gutsy attitude despite a 1-5 record.

    “Every game is tough. That is the beauty of our competition,” Robinson said. “Every team that you play in any week can beat any team. They have been playing really well.

    “They have fought hard over the last couple of weeks without result. But against Cronulla they came back and against Canterbury very close again.

    LEAGUE CENTRAL PODCAST: The Gold Coast Titans to make the eight! Plus a full preview of Round 7

    “So we have to make sure we are ready and we want to make sure we play our game that we want to play. We have done it for quite a few months now and we didn’t do it last week. The Manly game we would have liked to have won but we missed our opportunity.

    “But against Brisbane we were well beaten. It is probably the first time this year we have been well beaten. You can’t sit on it for too long.

    “We just had to move on and get focused on Newcastle

                He could have gone full retard and suggested the Roosters sign Josh Reynolds to play Lock.

                    oh that's right I said Watson was being earmarked for fullback in 2018 and some games in 2017(Gordon playing injured) and there he is playing fullback- mmm interesting what else do I know as another of my posts has come true just like the others- Mitchell being rested for not solely football form reason - Robbo said same/ Parra after Nofoaluma/Feldt(to sign both is the word) only in todays paper this which I posted previously - I will keep you guessing perhaps what else I know :-)

                          If Watson is being exposed at fullback for Wyong it's just management covering all bases on the event that things don't work out with Tedesco or even Gordon for next year. If Watson played great last night for Wyong, it says that he has stepped up to a level where he might be too big for them...but it doesn't mean much at first grade where he has to prove himself there. I'm sure that management is pulling all stops for Tedesco. Watson is just plan B, C or D.

                            How did Watson go last night?
                            Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

                                It's a shame for the regular fullback Sharpe who plays for Wyong cause I think he's s great player too.
