But a player can take an age to try force the ball for a try ala Elmasri in the GF
That was terrible commentary, near to the worst I've heard. Makes Fatty seem bearable while he commentates

The shining light was that we played poorly but still beat a side many have picked to win the comp three tries to one on their home ground. We are in this up to our necks.

I thought we played pretty bloody well. Wet conditions, heaps of pressure from a desperate opposition at their home ground, of course there will be mistakes. Got through it, scored 3 tries to 1, won the game. Good enough.

If you think we played poorly then you're an idiot

Plenty of shining lights out there last night - but I'll nominate our grit in defence. Best for a couple of seasons.

              Penriff-raff were very good, too.

                FAR KEN OATH.

Our defense was the shining light. Seems like we try to save gas by letting the attacking team come to us. Not the best strategy as they make more than 10m a carry. BUT, it allows us more time to snuff out their set plays (if any), and also allows us time to gang-tackle and stop the off-loads, which is really working for us. Look at Penwiff - one fluke of a try. In the other games this year, most trys were either off kicks or directly from a silly error.

It's only Round 3. We will get better. Passion, positive attitude, and hunger, looks like its returned.

I hope we keep playing that "poorly".

I have to say that Mitchell Pearce stood up last night. Keary seemed off his game but Pearce stood up.

                      Yeah agree.

The riff were obviously rushing and targeting Keary from the get-go. But Pearce was outstanding, took up the slack. I liked that when they saw that Keary was being rushed, Jr got the ball on the spread left and put Flash over.
