And we - their biggest rivals that year - received the fewest penalties in the competition.

EIGHTY FOUR less than Souffs. Orwellian indeed in it's horror.

2014 was a fix. Not a concerted effort, but rather a subtle *wink wink* all the way from the top of the NRL down to Tony Archer and the refs.

And I bet the players in retrospect know this too.

The fact that Souffs penalties have dried up so dramatically since 2014 is further evidence.

It's undeniable. In hindsight and while it was happening. A client of mine at the time kept going on about the cowboys getting robbed (against us with Lui's hand of god) and I said "no mate, everybody got robbed, there has to be an investigation" lol

Tedesco is a great player and I would love to have him. Except if signing him cost so much that we would have to end up letting too many go. Like Manu, Watson, Butcher, and more.

Fair call. There was already an us and them before that happened.

Wtf has happened to George? He's fallen off a cliff!

And Tom has always been ordinary and ridden the others coat tails.

Their most dominant forward was Macqueen. They've never replaced him. Tough as nails every week. All the press went to the Burgeii. Special mention to Ben T'eo

Teo was as big a loss as Burgess. In that prelim final in 2014 when we led 12 nil he came on and whacked our blokes and helped (with the refs) turn the game around. Until that time we had been dominant

It was always the refs help Headless. I put their whole 2014 season and their only premiership in approx 45 years down the refs and the NRL.

The 2014 was a tainted rort and every rugby league fan should feel ripped off by it. Sadly 2016 wasn't much different.

Gee it really shouldn't matter mate, no Inglis or Reynolds, wouldn't give us much hope this year if we can't beat them.

At this stage I would agree but the Chooks have got 2 really hard games over the next 2 rounds & its a 4 day turn around after rd 3 & the Souths game.
I bet you Reynolds plays against us in rd 4.

It's a 5 day turnaround and we don't travel outside sydney for our next 4 matches, barring any injury to easts players, the wabbits look shot.
