What about allowing Burgearse o play through the GF. I've been told privately by medicos he was inches from death or permanent injury. Better question is to ask Souffs old boys re player care generally

Yep Souffs are in a massive decline.
The star fullback is aging and busted. The hooker is aging and a selfish merkin. The halfback is always crocked and very limited. The forward pack minus Sam is very very very ordinary. And the outside backs are pedestrian.
A steady and long decline is in store. And richly deserved for what is arguably the most despicable club in the league. And that's saying something with the Dogs and Broncos as competition.

Beat 'em in Flegg yesterday too! And guess who scored 2 tries? Young Egan Butcher! Bunnies junior, brother of Nat I believe. A wise man once said, bearing a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die - with their hatred of all things Easts, Souths will be drowning in their own bile after this weekend! Add that to your book of feuds, oh, corroded one!

I have a cousin who used to be on the board at Souths for many many years so my facts are correct. Jason knew that by choosing the Roosters it would get up Rusty's nose even more. He did eventually become a permanent staff member as we all know. But the offer to work with the club for free was genuine as it was not about cash for Jason at the time.

And Maguire is OK, actually a really good bloke, I feel sorry for him having to deal with such a bunch of effwits. (forgive me for posting that)

How good a start to the weekend was it with the Dirty Dogs and Filthy Vermin both losing on the same night.
I did try hard and feel a little sorry for Inglis - but it just wasn't in me given he's filthy Vermin. I was amazed they left him out there for so long though - it's Round 1 for Fs sake and you're getting belted, get him off and have him assessed properly!! I did laugh at his struggle to get over the line and collapse when he did it - even though I was pissed off that the Filthy Rabble had scored.
As for Michael Maguire, anyone who picks Luke Kelly over Damien Cook in their starting 17 needs their head read - all Maguire needed to do was push Hog Farrah into No. 7, put Cook at 9 and he would have had a much more potent side. Luke Kelly is a reserve grade hack, and it was an embarrassment to Cook having to sit on the bench getting splinters while Kelly masqueraded as a first grade footballer.Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Many years ago one of the "toughest" players in the game was Tony Priddle, a prop from St George. One day our prop Bruce Sinclair knocked him out with one punch. The aura was gone and he was never the same player again.
I actually think that the Souffs game last season when Napa terrorised their whole pack has had the same effect. Sam has not been the same since.

Agree Farah is a joke at half but even saying that is still a better option than Kelly. Who I hate to say is just about the most ordinary half or 5/8 I have seen since the days of that legendary Parra pairing of Tolsen Tollet and Robert Muchmore or our very own Kurt Sherlock lol.Last edited by Parkway_Drive; 03-06-2017, 04:07 PM.Originally posted by boogie
