The way fergusson performed for the Roos shouldn't be replicated from the centres. Fergo is on too much money to be a battering ram doing ten meter hit ups. Don't get me wrong, someone needs to do them but fergos job should be to get early ball from Pearce and keary and isolate his opposite into one on ones and dominate them. I worry about Mitchell defending in the centres. Both he and Fergo would be devastating with early ball in the centres but they could also seriously get carved up.
I wish we had a centre like Matt Cooper. Solid as a rock in defence. Even Jenko turned into a great defender for us.
Oh well it'll probably be worth the gamble to see how they go.Comment
