Does anyone know how Jayden Nikorima is coming along? I wonder what the plans are with him next season, I believe he has something to offer but more so in 2018

I'd love for him to be the bench utility over Watson. Watson currently offers more but I think nikorima has the skills to be better longer term and I'd rather see that nurtured. Watson did a great job filling in last year but imo he doesn't have the fundamentals to play as a first grade 5/8. Flame away.

No dramas with your view. I really feel for Nikorema. If not for Pearce we have a different season.. Pearce would have been half, Hastings 5/8, friend hooker with Nikorema the utility off the bench subbing Friend but pushing Hastings for the 5/8 spot.

We all know what happened.. I just don't know what the club does now with Nikorima now that Watson has come along. If Watson manages to make the starting side if Keary fails then Nikorima can still be the utility that we signed him for, otherwise not sure what will happen..

Didn't Nikorima get a season-ending injury? How's that coming along?

I just hope there's REAL competition between these guys (and Cornish). There's a chance for SOMEBODY to play first grade. Nobody should be given the comfort of being about to know it's them (regardless of how the others go)...

I actually heard the exact same rumour from a reliable source secondary to a board member at the end of last season. For you to say something is blatantly wrong with no information to support your statement is idiotic. You don't know him. Neither do I. But I hardly think he gives a **** if you think he's trying to big note himself to a forum of strangers. The good intentions are trying to inform us of something that he has heard from what he believes to be a reliable source. Good enough for me. Again if you don't like it gtfo out the thread.

FWIW I saw Mark Bouris the other day (family friend) and I asked him what he knows about the team for 2017. His honest answer was that anybody who thinks it has been decided is full of shyte. Every position is up for grabs and he leaves such decisions to Robbo on game day... Robbo's the coach, he's the business expert and they don't step on each other's toes.

Luke Ricketson owns a cafe down the road from my mum (has for years... no footy stuff there, locals don't know rugby league so they know him as 'the viking'... he has a heap of Scandinavian decor there, roasts his own coffee and makes a good pizza too). He was pulling coffees there the other day and said he has NFI who will be in the team for 2017, and that he's largely out of touch with what happens at the low-level. As a board member, he's there to make business decisions... he doesn't want to be the coach because he feels that's a much harder job than his.

So there's 3 down... he didn't hear it from Mark Bouris, Luke Ricketson or Uncle Nick. WHY any of the other board members would know anything that these 3 don't know has me at a loss.

is your name nikorima? you couldnt possibly be his number one cheer girl without being a family member. it was a joke and disgrace that the club went out and signed him while we had a perfectly good player to do the same role in connor watson already in our system and the rest is history when nikorima did fark all and watson was outstanding. serves the club right for ignoring our own talent.
