  • Letter to the nrl

    Dear Mr nrl.
When the trophy sharing campaign ends, can we return to playing fair dinkum footy again?
    You know what I mean,
black and white rules that are enforced equally, common sense regarding the salary cap farce, all players being equal in front of the judiciary , etc etc

Or will the campaign ever end?
Waiting for the warriors to win will be like waiting for Holt to become PM again.
And there's another team that hasn't won yet,.............You own them! ........... and Penrith, Brisbane and Newcastle are going to demand their turn as well.......
Hope the Roosters can steal another title like we did off souths in 2013.
And I hope to never hear expressions like " The Game Managers Interpretation " again.

    But what are the odds?
Speaking of odds, please tell me who's turn it is next year so I can get my bets on early.

    Regards Eddie.

    And happy birthday your majesty.
The more images I have of you in my coin jar, the happier I am.

    Yep Fair enough.

Based on this year I'd say Canberra are due and able....Warriors to give it a good crack also.

    Cronulla can go get farked {I don't think they'll have the hunger of this year, but they'll still be in the mix IMO}

A quick comment. Stay away from all forms of media for a while, you will only hear, see, or read, "the shire".

      Dear Mr Eddie

Why follow a sport even if your beloved Roosters are in it if you believe the whole thing is rigged?
If you look from 1997 onwards (post SL) you will see that the Roosters have been the most successful club so I cannot work out why you are whinging.
I love my Roosters as much as you do but just because they dont win the comp every year doesnt mean that the NRL, Greenberg, Murdoch the refs & the bunker are rigging the comp.

Cronulla had a top side this year thats why they won the comp, Canberra & Penrith have very good sides also & will be thereabouts next year.
If St George, Newcastle or the Tigers win next years comp then I would question the integrity of the NRL but if any of the other teams win the comp it will be because they are the best team.

No organisation could keep all its employees quiet year after year if there was a conspiracy to rig the comp. Humans cannot keep secrets & if there was a predetermined outcome like you are making out it would be leaked to a media outlet by someone for financial gain.
I have said to you before people like Nick Politis & major sponsors would not get involved in a sport if they believed it was being run by crooks who had an agenda to predetermine the outcomes of games so that there was a trophy sharing campaign.

        I agree.

Cronulla have just won the comp after 50 years - let the dog have his bone.

So all the conspiracy theory nuts think the league is rigged but still watch it and what's their reason for handing us a premiership in 2013 then?

            Dear Memory Lane,

Of course the nrl manipulate the competition . No secret there, they have previously stated that they aim to have a different premier every year.
            They invented game managers.
They invented different interpretations of the same rule.
They are selective and secretive when it comes to auditing the salary cap.
They encourage preferential treatment in the judicial process.
They instruct their game managers to used preconceived ideas when officiating.

But alas, I add to the vast profits indirectly by subscribing to satellite TV, because I want to watch the Roosters play regardless. ( I quite like air crash investigation as well)
If I had the misfortune to support Norths or Wests, I wouldn't watch this corrupt and sanitised version of rugby league at all.
            Go Easts.

            Each to their own.

              LOL .............."handed to us" ?????

One of the hardest earned premierships of all time.

In league speak, the nrl passed the cup to souffs, but they dropped it and we ran the length of the field.

                    I'm with you Eddie,

There is too much 'unconscious bias', as well as 'NRL preferred results'. EG, The NRL would have wanted Cronulla to whip the Storm.

Whether some games are rigged or not, or teams are assisted in the act of attempting to win,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the problem is the officiating and bunker MAKE IT LOOK THAT WAY FFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've said this before, think of the Broncos Vs Titans semi final this year. How many farken rediculous decisions went against the titans. Phil Gould said he didn't believe the game was rigged but it's the 'sickest' he has felt about a football game EVER. Archer the farkwitt was forced to sack the refs by the NRL because of Social Networking going into Meltdown. The accusations of the game being officiated so that the Broncos would win were flying thick and fast in all areas linked to Rugby League. The admission was finally made by Archer the farkwitt that the officiating influenced the end result of the game !!!!!

And it won't stop me watching the footy every year, in the hope that we can defy the odds and agendas just like we did in 2013!
                      Go the Mighty Roosters!

                        This sums it up.
They consider themselves purely in the entertainment business.
The concept of sport is alien to them.

                        I'll bet Greenbug watches wrestling.
How long before Des Hasler smacks an opposition player with a plastic chair while the game managers aren't looking?

We gotta put up with a lot of crap as Rooster supporters.
And no matter how much they try to stuff our game up, it still beats the hell outta soccer, yawnion or aerial ping pong.

100% agree there is a lot of unconscious bias in the running of the game - certain refs penalising us beyond the margin of error, bunker's overturning more of our decisions than anyone else's, nrl's handling of comparatively harmless non-criminal events that are filmed without consent etc.
But I also think there's a difference between unconscious and conscious bias. Rather than accuse the nrl of conscious cheating, better to give them the benefit of the doubt and point out their unconscious bias. Good people pointed out that our penalty statistics didn't stack up - and our rates of being penalised have improved.
Play the man, not the ball. It's not that the nrl is stupid, it's that it's been doing stupid things.

SO THE DRONGOS HAVING NEARLY EVERY THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT IS NOT RIGGING THE GAME(17 games from 24). i thought that every team should be entitled to a 7 day turn around week after week. instead other teams like the drongos never once got a short week turnaround, but teams from sydney all got more than one.(us 5 x 5 day turn arounds) what did we get 3 games in 15 days. mandy had 3 games in 11 days. until the game is fair and run by the nrl not nein the game will always be looking like it favours a few teams over others. Nrl needs to take back controll of the game like the afl does and own the game, instead of bending over the barrel and being reemed by nein and if bet $50 you get your money back bull5hit
