Manu definitely is FG material but someone needs to do 3rd grade fractions with him and teach him what low percentage plays are & when they are and aren't on. But I do agree that if some of the players Around him were awake & knew how he rarely lets the ball die (which they should know by now) many more of those plays would've come off, it happened a few times where he threw the miracle ball and if the receiver was on alert it comes off. Keen to see what he can do for the squad.
No denying the hard work and skill of Butcher either, I expect to see more of him this year. I liked the look of Radley too in the 2nd row, & proving his versatility by taking over rake duties for Garvey showed a lot of class in a high pressure situation which definitely helped his case. He's only 18 so let him develop in the 20s and eventually Wyong, and he'll be right in a few years. Garvey always impresses in the 9 but unfortunately there is a long line ahead of him in Friend, Watson, Keary, Matterson, Nikorima and even hastings.
I noticed Fox sports reporting JTS has been added full time to the FG squad. He's got footwork like his brother and runs like Josh Mansour, teach him how to catch a high ball and he's almost up to scratch as well. I like the look of Brendan Frei much better than his brother, gets involved lots and had some speed and footwork. Could make it if he bulks up.
At times Marschke really impresses but he's too hot & cold, I think he's a bit raw. if he develops nicely he'll provide great cover in the 7 for Pearce, considering all our other cover in the halves is for 6 (except Hastings). Anyone know what position the twin brother plays??

And on Manus game yesterday, I can forgive him throwing the low percentage passes considering they were down a hell of a lot.Embrace the Hate! JC
