If the ARL/NSWRL truly wants the game to grow in the Sydney catchment area then surely they must step in and ensure our junior base continues to exist in some way, shape or form.

I have had a big chat to a mate of mine in the know and he filled me in with some interesting facts
        - Roosters junior clubs are the 2nd best funded and looked after clubs in the country (souths Juniors clubs are #1)
        - over 1/4 of the kids playing in the Souths Juniors competition play for Roosters junior clubs.
        - the contract to play in Souths juniors comp lasts for 3 years, the most recent expired at the end of this season.
        - there is still a lot of respect for most of the people running the Roosters junior clubs.
        - The Roosters juniors are organising to reapply to play in the Souths Juniors, as advise by Souths.

What I read between the lines.
        - There were some issues that Souths juniors wanted resolved before they would accept the Roosters teams back in their competition.
        - There are not enough Easts junior teams to run their own mini and mod competitions. Maybe enough numbers but too much disparity between teams.
        - The issue of signing Souths players is a minor issue.
        - The major issue that Souths want resolved is the way Paddington Colts conducted themselves. I have heard from several people all year that the Colts are on the nose.
There are some good people there but the main people behind their reformation are arrogant bullies that would destroy the Easts junior league if that meant they got their way.

Its a real pity that 3 clubs doing great work are dragged through the mud by 1 newbie

Why don't we fight to have the boundaries re-drawn.

There would be about 8 clubs playing in the Easts comp.

The under 14s Paddo Colts where not allowed to play in the Souths Comp this year, so they played in the Sharks comp, I heard that St Charles were behind that side getting kicked out, player poaching or something like that.

True, personal bickering between Paddo and Charles families resulted in Paddo kicked out because of stronger connections/ friendships with the Juniors committee.

                            False

The u14s had to play in the Cronulla comp, as they were a Clovelly team that could not all move together to Paddo due to long standing rules. Clovelly were happy to let the kids go as they wanted to play with that coach who jumped ship to Paddington.
St Charles had nothing to do with that, simply the rules.

A St Charles team in another age group was torn apart due to egotistical parents, St Charles played by the rules and some of these parents have behaved abysmally and are a great deal of the problem that has caused this issue between Easts junior league and Souths Juniors
