    3. Gambles with recruitment and retention didn't pay immediate dividends
    4. Pearce
    5. The Hastings saga... clearly stuff we don't know there but left us with no kickers in tight losses
    6. POS stood down... great, more drama
    7. What can only be described as rotten luck in every aspect of the game/management

    Positives
    - None really. We were $hit and the Knights were beyond $hit. This isn't something we should be proud of. If anything we should thank the knights because we deserve the spoon. They got farked bu Wayne and Tinkler so had nothing to play with. Even with injuries, we had a combination of rep players + the best rated kids in the NRL and still flooped. This was our own stupid fault...
    - The only minor positives relate to potential and what coulda been. I'm embarrassed that kids like Latrell, Manu, Watson and Nikorima came to us because we officially farked up their introduction to the NRL. 2016 Was seriously disgraceful (with the odd bit of individual brilliance). As a fan I still love the boys and the club, but I'm really sorry to all the kids who chose us over other clubs because they deserve better. We're lucky if any of them come back in 2017!
    8. The abysmal form of Toupo, Guerra, Evans and Fergo. Four senior players who made unforced error after unforced error.
    9. No goal kicker.

Positives - Latrell, Watson and Manu are very raw but their talent is undeniable. Looking forward to watching them shine in 2017 when we are back at full strength.

Anything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. They didn't start the season off properly, instead of having a few trial games and preparing they just went to dubai and the only game they got was the World Cup game.

Including incidents with Pearce, injury upon injury, poor referring, the bunker being an absolute farce (we would easily lead the league in most over turned try's) and if a few of them went our way we could almost talk about being near the 8.

You add all of that with poor preparation and a few shit attitudes and that's what made our season.

I expect very very big things from this side next year, back to the defensive jugguarnaut of 2013.

Take the established number 7 and best 2 forwards out of any team and they will struggle. By the time these 3 came back, we were already mentally beat.

Injuries were also cruel. Underperforming players were not held accountable.

Anew calendar year will not suddenly make us a good defensive side.

                Lack of leadership-Off and on-field.
Lack of foresight- Not thinking that losing our top points earner, as well as one of the best centers was going to make an impact.
Lack of discipline-Fm You know who off field and on field from Friend with his tactics of doing things without anyone else having a clue
Lack of Plan B- When things were going wrong, there was seldom any change of tactics to turn things around. I don't recall that from our few wins, we ever came from behind to win those games.

some may think im crazy but this year is what any successful club needs to maintain its position as a dominant club. We have proved that our recruitment system has worked. We have blooded 11 NRL debutantes this year and all have proven they are capable of standing up and doing the job if required. This system has unearthed some future stars like Connor, Iloine, Matto, and Joey Manu. We have our feeder club in Wyong Roos into the finals and our NYC boys also into the finals. That to me is a sign of depth.
Our disastrous start the year has been compounded with further injuries, players playing out of positions and some pea hearts losing interest in the game and losing their passion for the club. Success breeds success. So onwards and upwards for 2017.

Interested in your view of the season. Underachieving, unlucky, rebuilding, poorly coached, lacking quality, acceptable, poor recruitment/retention....Which is it?

                    Season from hell.

Too early to give definitive answers to these questions. If we go well next year, this season will be seen in a different light.

There's work to be done, but I, FOR ONE, %100 BACK THEM TO TURN IT AROUND

You wont see the Storm, Dogs or broncos being at the bottom after a few years of success. We seem to go from the top and hit rock bottom very easy. Glad that souffs have a worst record than us.

Most of above and wish to add too many 4th tackle kicks that no one else in the team knew were happening lol.

One question re injuries since Keegan Smith left a couple of seasons ago who is in that role?

We have had too many injuries this year and some of it could be bad training and recovery regimes.

Arguably we have been more successful than all of them since 2000.

The year was a complete cluster****. Injuries, idiocy, multiple players' development going backwards, horrible recruitment, loss of sponsors, our worst crowds in years.... Just woeful.

My only good points would be Watson, Manu, and Materson. All 3 have shown tremendous promise. I'll wait till next year to see if those are actually truly good points as I can see us leaving all 3 out of our starting side, and only 1-2 of them maybe making the bench.

I think that we are in for more pain next season too

This season has shown that Robinson is a great coach when things are going well. It has also shown that Robinson is inadequate to turn things around when things are not going so well.
Re-signing him when Nick did was a big mistake IMO.
Now the season is over he should be in Nick's office today, negotiating his termination payout.
                                Pass the Ball....
