But for the ****ing life of me I can't ****ing understand how those ****s at the ****ing NRL can ****ing justify what they did to Mitchell Pearce. Maybe their ****ed argument is that he bought the ****ing game into disre****ingpute. If the history of rugby ****ing league has taught us any ****ing thing it is that the game survives ****ing incidents like that.

Mitchell Pearce, and yes, the roosters were thrown under a ****ing bus. We're having the ****ing season from ****ing hell and what those ****ing pricks at the ****ing NRL did was a ****ing large ****ing factor in that.
    Welcome back Oracle

This will be another opportunity for the NRL to show us just how farking inconsistent they are.

Pearce would be rubbed out for a year!

I'm glad the Tele is now drawing a parallel with what happened to Mitchell.

Indeed, but the reality is that the NRL will claim that it was Pearce's second strike after the Girl in the Yellow Dress or whatever the meeja called it.

              Pathetic, isn't it?

That girl with the yellow dress incident was a storm in a teacup in my opinion. The real issue was that he was stupid enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't think he really did anything to the woman at all. He certainly didn't do a Blake Ferguson on her.

Rightly or wrongly but the expectation on Pearce is alot higher than most other players mainly because he is a second generation professional footy player who was brought up around the game & should know better.
He was involved a few years back with Jake Friend in a drunken brawl & taken to the Rocks cop shop then there was the yellow dress night club incident at the Cross plus not leaving the establishment when directed then after being turfed out instead of going home he went to the casino then there was the Australia Day fiasco. No crimes involved just alcohol fueled incidents but the expectations are very high on him & he has failed.
To the average bloke like me all the incidents are nothing but to the media & certain people in the public he has committed the crimes of the century.

Corey Norman has been suspended for eight weeks and fined $20,000 in a move that will likely end his season

Well at least they're consistent with the suspension.

The fine however pales in comparison to Pearce's 125k.

So lets get this straight. Norman hangs with known criminals and has been warned officially by NSW Police not to do any more. He is a convicted drug abuser. Despite being a high profile professional athlete he turned up to the casino with a stash of MDMA pills and muscle relaxants. He then makes a sex video where he snorts a line of something and allows other men who are present in the room to film him perform a sex act on a woman. He then shares this video with his teammates. 8 games and $20K is his punishment.

On the hand Mitchel Pearce did the wrong thing by himself and his teammates. He got wasted, led his younger teammates astray and then proceeded to make an idiot out of himself while someone filmed. He did not break any laws. He did briefly make a humping motion and simulate sex with a dog. It was a joke, in poor taste, but a joke nonetheless. He broke no laws and should only have been punished internally by the Roosters for not having a fully functioning brain. He is not the only footballer suffering from this condition. Yet the NRL give him 8 games and $125K as his punishment.

Although all of us are Roosters supporters it is hard to see the logic of the NRL. What values are they trying to promote exactly. What is the message to the youngsters out there as well as all NRL supporters. This is just so very wrong.

Apart from the staggering difference in the fine, the difference is that Pearce did nothing illegal and that killed our season.

Norman has done something illegal and their season is already dead.

It's like the drug penalties given to the Sharks players.

If I'm Pearce, I seriously consider suing the NRL over this.

The quantity was substantial. A deal was done hence the guilty plea which means he escapes the possibility of being charged with supply.

8 weeks(when their season is over) and a $20k fine is a joke when comparing it to Pearce and the effect his punishment had on our season.
