Their salaries are related to the income their chosen field generates. It's unfortunate the negative publicity these guys both attract and create but the nrl can't have it both ways. Either they put morality/behavioural clauses into their contracts or stop expecting them to be role models.

If no laws are broken then I don't give two shits these guys do in their spare time. Which is lucky because for every incident that hits the papers I would bet my left nut there are more than 50 that get hidden.
I find paramedics being more effective for our society than a bunch of overpaid young fellas who don't put the respect back into the game that made them who they are.

Hopefully, it's the majority who live fulfilled lives without ending up in the papers for hanging out with criminals. I'm glad when I have rung 000 for my mum they didn't send Corey Norman around.

It's the entertainment age, but the foundation of our civilization remains the same.

The care factor is low as the sense of self entitlement in the western world is outrageous.

Hey I agree. Both my parents are emergency workers and I work in a related field. Unfortunately salaries aren't determined based on what helps society most. I get more annoyed at the media slamming this shit down our throats acting like innocent angels than I actually do at the acts of Mitchell pearce or Corey Norman or whoever.

Yep too true brutha, I don't necessarily want to know what they're doing as well, and we all make mistakes, but a few heads should be pulled in.

They systematically rorted the cap gfs. For YEARS. If it was us, we'd probably be booted from the comp and the ground burned that they buried us under.

                Take a year off Parramatta.
                Too true !!

We should also not forget how Watmough was allowed to be "written off" from their cap. Absolutely amazing.

We we gifted such an exemption from Henderson when his season/career ended this season?

As someone stated, FFS they systematically cheaper for seasons.....

Was interested to see that the NRL are prepared to let Hayne start playing for the Eels whenever he likes. The 30 June deadline does apply to players not currently in the NRL.

Here's an interesting hypothetical - if he was available at the time, do you think the NRL would have let the Roosters sign SBW for last year's finals series? We wouldn't need much cap space because it is only a few games. For that matter, could we have signed 3 or 4 of the best Rugby players in this way?

                          Has anyone seen the video?
What is with dogs and footy players?
I always liked Joel Monaghan............little did I know that he was the torch bearer of dark sinister underbelly that pervades the NRL.

Now we have Corey Norman.......another issue footy players have is gangster worship.
                          Classy game.

Has pleaded guilty to possession of drugs. Has had a conviction recorded.

Lets see the soft punishment the NRL comes down with now...
