Not Roosters Related But...Corey Norman

It's easy to say it's just a game when you aren't in it. What's it take to be an emergency worker? 3 years at uni? Most of these athletes have trained to be the best since age 5. Their salaries are related to the income their chosen field generates. It's unfortunate the negative publicity these guys both attract and create but the nrl can't have it both ways. Either they put morality/behavioural clauses into their contracts or stop expecting them to be role models.

If no laws are broken then I don't give two shits these guys do in their spare time. Which is lucky because for every incident that hits the papers I would bet my left nut there are more than 50 that get hidden.

I find paramedics being more effective for our society than a bunch of overpaid young fellas who don't put the respect back into the game that made them who they are.

Hopefully, it's the majority who live fulfilled lives without ending up in the papers for hanging out with criminals. I'm glad when I have rung 000 for my mum they didn't send Corey Norman around.

Here's an interesting hypothetical - if he was available at the time, do you think the NRL would have let the Roosters sign SBW for last year's finals series? We wouldn't need much cap space because it is only a few games. For that matter, could we have signed 3 or 4 of the best Rugby players in this way?
