Tom needs to build himself up from now and thru the off-season...he was no match for the big Storm forwards.

Another wet field, players slipping everywhere, Pritchard in particular.
Rain?...or are teams over-watering the grounds and 'cheating' like they used to against the faster Roosters teams?

Tom also needs to practice tackling.

One penalty against him was another joke refereeing decision.

He'll be a better player next year.
He and FPN basically helped in a big way to win us the game against Souths in the first round.

He'll be a better player for the experience tonite.

I'm not a big fan of 'hooking'.

I think he was injured. He took a hitup and when he stood to play the ball he was limping. I don't remember seeing him after that

I thought he was hooked because he stuffed up any momentum the team had with his 2 penalties and then made a pathetic attempt at pushing across from the inside to shut down the space morrie blair used to put oneill over for his first try late in the first half. Plus he made an error and I think all of that got to coach smith ...

Having said all that, Friend was equally at fault for the first try and symonds' second penalty was just a tad harsh.

Smithy should have played him in the centres.

Symonds was woeful last night, but that game aside, he has been pretty solid this year. He is a good hole runner and looks to be a smart player. There are parts of his game he needs to work on, but thats the same for most players. He will be a good player for us in the years to come. I am still a fan.

Symonds has been running the bal well but defence has been way below par. Seems reluctant over the past few weeks to put that troublesome shoulder into a tackle, or to be able to grasp with his arm. From memory always been a good defesive player, not so much a big imapct, but very relaible and good technique. Put it down to injury.

He needs a proper off season. Has looked gun-shy since he came back from another injury.

Did not looked injured when he came off, so I'd say he was hooked!

on a brighter note, so far, Boyd does not look out of place in first grade.

I think Guerra is miles ahead of Symonds at the moment. With a bit more weight on him I can see Guerra developing into a really good 'slab' player much like Gallen is for the Sharks. His metres are always good as he has that bit of footwork at the line which enables him to hit a shoulder and get a decent play the ball. I would like to see him play more minutes however, and hopefully Smith gives him that opportunity as the season progresses.

As for Symonds....he's like a lot of our youngsters....they do something half decent and people write them up as superstars. Its like Pritchard at the moment, I've seen a few posters comment on how promising he looks, but he doesn't do it at all for me. He looks shaky under the high ball, lacks impact with his kick returns and I'm yet to see him throw a pass in general play other than from dummy half. He's like a speedier version of Foley, but without Foley's steadiness at the back.

Guerra has one of the best 'hit and spins' in the competition. Watch back to some of his games, that's the reason he makes soo many yards
