Ferguson - Worst defensive player I have seen in my years of watching football
Guerra - Just lacks the ability to play football. How hard is it to pass a football? Let alone catch one.
Hastings - Too slow and terrible kicking game
Moa - Not going too badly but time is catching up on him.
Toops - Can't catch to save himself
SKD - Not popular but he is just too stupid to rely on. 2 brain explosions cost us last night. The forward pass and the shepherd which they scored off the next set. No point doing the good things he does when he screws up when it counts.
Friend - The worst kicking game I have ever seen. Does not tell anyone when he is going to kick on the third/fourth tackle. Refuses to run the ball and only useful for the idiots who base their judgments on supercoach points. But worse is he is an extremely selfish footballer and has no leadership abilities.

On notice - Evans - looks like tarzan and plays like Jane.
Copley - Was actually quite good last night and needs to repeat the performance on a weekly basis, not 4 hitups for 32 metres.
Pearce - Was outstanding last night even though he couldn't kick a field goal to save himself. As good a performance in a losing team that you will see all year. Play like that and he should be back in origin next season, unfortunately lacks consistency. More of last night and he will be the first picked every week. Needs to stay sober.

Topou is a given. His continual selection in first grade is akin to corporate fraud.

I am willing to give Guerra the benefit of the doubt this season. Having a first child under 1 year of age tends to send most men over the edge. He may well have an acute case of blue balls and as Farian can atest after his first child, it's like something out of the Walking Dead.

Guerra was terrible last season as well.

SoH - just lacks the speed. He looked like a clydesdale in a Oakleigh Plate when he took that intercept. I suppose he is going anyway.

Copley and Toups not far behind.

OFFLOAD:
Guerra - no upside, slow, no second phase play, doesnt pass, ineffective (replace with Ethan Lowe, Matterson or Brown).
Tupou - not the right attitude to first grade football, poor hitups, poor handling (replace with Manu or Copley)
Moa - love the man, but past his prime, commencing the twilight of his career (replace with Papalli or a new signing)
Hastings - simply not a high enough quality footballer. Certainly has some skills, but not good enough for a first grade half. Evidence points to being a poor team player (replace with Luke Keary).

PERSIST WITH FOR NOW:
Evans - I would keep Evans for now, only because of potential upside and I don't think he is on big coin.
Fergo - I would keep Fergo for now, only because the sky is the limit if he gets himself right. Needs massive work on his defence, park football standard at the moment.

I'd hate to see Garvey given an opportunity elsewhere because he's a genuine hooker and the back-up to Friend IMO. Watson is more a utility type player.
