  • Who would you offload?

Out of the 3 main culprits on most people's shit list this year, who would you rather offload?
    Toups, Fergo or Guerra?
All three are current or ex-rep players and are well down on form. Feel free to mention a replacement for your choice. I would release Fergo in favour for someone like Dean Whare. Injury prone of late but all class and there are plenty of outside backs at Penrith to take his place. Unsure of his contract status, but I'm rambling a bit now...

All three plus Hastings. I would snare Kenny Bromich, Nathan Ross. Run Latrell in the centres for a year ( Gordan at FB) and run Manu on the wing. Japanezy

No brainers: Toupo (Round1 would have been fine with me)
Higher order thinking required: Guerra, Moa, Evans, Fergo, Hastings/Pearce/Niko

We need outside backs with speed and size. Our forwards get us down field easy enough and we have a pretty solid pack but our backs are average maybe less than average. We need to sign some young backs who are noted as speedsters. I like George and Robert jennings, both are talented boys who have had setbacks with injuries but look ready to go. There are rumours they want out of the riff and Souths are sniffing around them. Let's get under their guard and sign them. Keep what we have but add some quality youth that won't cost us the huge cap space. Then get rid of Aiden and sign Manu Mu'a. We need some steel in the middle and this bloke has it in spades.

          Guerra - He's a slug who hides.

Hastings - Zero to do with the rumours. He's just too slow. Slow off the mark. Slow over 50m and laterally slow. Also minimal spark. Conner Watson is twice as threatening.

Moa - I like Sam but it's time to leave the room Sam.

Toups and Fergo will come good. Toups had a reasonable game. Fergo needs to play on the wing. Maubs choked that edge last night. He needs to sell the lead better and more often. His focus should be on creating time and space for his outside backs.

Toups is not even close to the same pay bracket as the other two.

Guerra has improved a lot of late - though the only way was up.

Fergo is hopeless. This season he is the worst defensive player I have ever seen. PS. I put that on twitter and Mike Eden replied saying thanks for the rap. Now he is second. Very funny.

Fergo- Not worth the salary cap he is taking up.

Evans - Week after week he gives very little . Then in two weeks he will throw a great offload leading to a try and he is all forgiven. No thanks.

Guerra - Mr hit and spin is the biggest cat on the field.

Hastings - As a 6 no thanks. in my world a 5/8 is quick, is a hole runner and not worrying so much about game management. When he took that loose ball in the first half, with no one in front, and instead of trying to go the length, stopped and passed it 5metres back to Guerra, that did it for me. He didn't even try to put the foot down. He was never going to get there but at least run 30 metres and get tackled, rather than pass the ball back to a forward.

Toups - Great start, then showed where his game is at when he bombed that try. No confidence and now that defensive players can block chasers without being penalised, he has no game

Special Mention - Napa needs to look Iift. He has turned into a trundler. When hitting it up there is no pace at all. Needs to be just as aggressive in attack as in defence

Start with the dumb players who consistently give away pens or the ones who every week make basic schoolboy errors these are SKD, Moa , Evans and Toops . Then we have the ones who offer very little anymore these are guerra, Aubo , Hastings and poss fergo , we will only improve when these players are moved on and replaced with smart footballers,

For what they are being paid

Fergo, Guerra are 1 and 2

                    Copley offers absolutely nothing

Evans is starting to be a major disappointment, seems well off the pace, riddled with schoolboy errors and knows how to give away a dumbarse penalty or 2

Friend is no longer an 80 min player, he makes wrong decision after wrong decision, Garvey from the 20s looks to have the complete package as a hooker.

I feel for Toops the bloke in defence is left stranded by Copley, like SKD with the peanut Fergo, he is the new Rocks and Diamonds.

I like Hastings, but if he is jaded and struggling to " connect" with the others, Connor Watson should be moved to the halves, the bloke adds pace and creativity.

Fergo - just lost his mojo since last year.

Evans - I am surprised everyone is blaming that first dogs try on Toups. Yes he dropped the ball but this idiot gave away a dumb penalty a couple of tackles later inside their 20M and then Moa with the same penalty a couple tackles after that. We drop a heap when JWH goes off.

SoH - just lacks the speed. He looked like a clydesdale in a Oakleigh Plate when he took that intercept. I suppose he is going anyway.

Copley and Toups not far behind.

                          Copley was outstanding last night.

Topou is a given. His continual selection in first grade is akin to corporate fraud.

I am willing to give Guerra the benefit of the doubt this season. Having a first child under 1 year of age tends to send most men over the edge. He may well have an acute case of blue balls and as Farian can atest after his first child, it's like something out of the Walking Dead.

One thing that stood out to me regarding Guerra last night was he never even looks to pass the ball,it is so frustrating.
Surely the coaching staff have tried to help him with that aspect of his game.
On a few occasions last night he had a support player on the run and refused to even look at him,let alone pass..
