But how good was he for us... God damn. He could have been the face of the club for a generation. Maybe I do still pine for him..

Case in point, Brad Fittler was not yet much more than a very talented centre when the Roosters picked him up. If I remember correctly, we used him at lock for the first year while Walker and Lam were the halves.

Hahaha, Freddie was on the 1990 Kangaroo tour and was an ever present in rep footy at state and national level from there on. So 5 years of rep footy before he signed with us......including Captaining Australia at the 1995 World Cup. just a bit more than a talented centre

Exactly, he was the ARL poster boy, signed with the ARL when the war began for over a million a yr making him the highest paid league player in the world at the time. He was certainly already in the superstar category before we got him. Also in 1990 at 18 and 3 months was the youngest player to ever play origin.

                  Stuff Jarrod Hayne.?
The thread title made me think of stuffed bears and such, before I read the teddy reference.
                  No joke.
Guerra is playing kinda like a stuffed toy compared to what know he can.
Tupou is one of them stuffed giraffe toys.
Friend is captain Pugwash. (or Oscar the grouch)
JWH has a mortgage on angry birds I hear, but he's a big bird... ain't he?
                  Pearce???
Can't fit him in, stuffed toys aren't supposed to be offensive.

Well the asking price is going to be above $1m a season.

Just read that Tedesco has agreed to negotiate with the Tigpies after this season ends about extending his stay there until 2021.

The report is suggesting a contract of at least $1m per season.

What shall we stuff him with? Breadcrumbs? Cheese? Should this topic be in a Masterchef thread?
