  • Horrie going off again on Twitter

    Nice subtle dig at Friend:

'Michael Ennis take a bow. Sharkies best buy. Nice to see a 9 pass to both halves and choose when to kick for the team and not for himself.'

Braith Anasta's Wallet is pondering whether or not Kevin "Horrie" Hastings has the blessing of his son Jackson "Horrie Junior" Hastings to say these things publicly. If these outbursts were causing problems for Jackson within the club then I would find it hard to believe that Kevin would keep them up unless Jackson didn't mind them or even advocated for the outbursts. I believe that they show there is some problem within the playing group that is spilling out which can only be problematic. Sadly I would be surprised if Jackson was still with our team next season.

True or otherwise, they are unprofessional and surely don't do his son any favours (or his own reputation/legacy for that matter).

Pull your head in and stop the whinging... maaaate! The club doesn't need a constant social media commentary about how a club legend's son is or isn't being treated.

                Surely Horrie knows better? SURELY!!!

Yeah but there's an actual or percieved conflict of interest here.

I think you will find we will be releasing Hastings to St George, for next season if not before.

My cousin works for the dragons and all the whisperings within there organisation are there not interested in him. They were devastated when he signed with us but all the rumblings of him being an ordinary team mate have given them cold feet apparantly. Only a rumour though

I don't blame either Hastings for being disillusioned....a young 20yo is copping the blame for our season when much more experienced heads have let the club down but appear to be protected

Fair call, but is it professional to make it public? We've all been in a position where work's been shyte and unfair, but I think that keeping it civil's the way to go.

The Roosters haven't made any of their opinions public and TBH this has probably helped Jacko out because he can leave the club with clean hands. It's no disgrace saying that the club did shyt3 and wanted instant results, so signed Keary (an established, premiership-winning half). But if it's made public that he conflicted with the club captain and an immortal (and has a noisy dad) then good luck maaaate!!

Wayne Pearce has never commented on his son's career, and Mitch has copped a lot of shyte. I think this is the benchmark. We can't have everybody's dad setting up a twitter account to publicly critique the treatment of their son (which would otherwise be a private matter).

Did Horrie mention his son is a one paced slug, who can't run the ball to the line in fear of being smashed & defences read him like a little golden book.

Horrie's rant says a lot that the club is not saying. Sounds irreparable unless SoH plays it down inside the club saying his father and he are completely separate people..
