Coaching Staff

I believe we should really evaluate our coaching staff and personnel for next season. I would like us to get a decent attacking coach and especially a coach who can really focus on our general kicking. Andrew " Joey " Johns was supposedly the man to fix this but I have seen sweet **** all change. Also I would like us to ditch the Pom. We haven't developed at all as a side over the past few years and believe we should look into this aspect of our club. Thoughts ?

I'd go for Cartwright as assistant coach and flick the pom.

Off the cuff maybe Adrian Lam with Fitzgibbon and try to lure Dean Pay as defensive coach ?

Massively overrated as a defensive coach, has been Sticky's D coach at Parra and Canberra and they both leak points.

I'd go hard for Cleary as assistant and attacking coach. Piss of Macnamara and what's his name, keep Fitzy and maybe include Rick Stone more.

Cleary jr has a "if dad joins another club" clause in his contract. If dad was signed by a club for big money it would be nobody's business if dad was to give son a gift out of kindness.

I personally think we'll go alright with Pearce/Keary but if the club really wanted to move on from Pearce...

We weren't complaining in 2002 as he was part of that coaching team, not saying you are wrong I was just throwing it out there. Cartwright was good for us as well but probably won't leave Manly. Thing is wasn't Trent our Defensive coach when BS was Head Coach ? If so what the hell happened.

The same thing that happened after 2010. Replaced our fastest backs with slugs.

I don't think we can get get Cleary. He will probably get a head coaching role. I would like to get Tooves on board and someone who is new to the game but highly rated, like Green, Cartwright and Cleary were when they were assistants with us. Who is the Panthers u20s coach? They go alright.
