Fair question, deserves a thoughtful answer.
I'd like to emphatically reject the suggestion and like to think that type of emotion wouldn't influence my opinion of him, or his potential value to the team winning.
But, gotta admit that I'd love to see him wearing the number 7, because of what Kevin meant to this joint.
Guess the answer is "of course not, I think"........................

I never saw his old man play so his last name means jack shit to me. For a 20yr old halfback I think he's a beast and will be one of the best halves running around in the next 5 year's. But I'm aware my thoughts are the minority on this one.

My thoughts mirror yours on that.
        (that's a rare thing I think)

Hasn't lived up to his potential yet, but in the right circumstances ...........................

I think HJ like Pearce is going to become much maligned... Like Pearce I also think his best position is @ #9!!! If I was Trent and I am not contrary to what most think.. I would make sure that Watson, Matterson and Nickorima remain and become Easts 7-6-9 In the not too distant future, with a focus on Tedesco @ # 1..

All good players but too young to play together. I think we can only hold 2 of the 4 when you add Hastings to that 3. Especially with keary coming.

He seems to lack skill, pace, composure and creativity. Other than that I totally agree with you

              • According to News corp our off contract contingent is this.

                Roosters

Tyler Cornish, Mitchell Frei, Luke Garner, Ian Henderson, Vincent Leuluai, Joey Lussick, Sam Moa, Abraham Papalii, Dominic Reardon, Omar Slaimankhel, Nathan Smith, Charlie Taylor, Eloni Vunakece

Two backs, three forwards. Who would you retain?

For me it would be Charlie Taylor and Dominic Reardon as they're young and would be relatively inexpensive backs. In the forwards, I'd resign Sam Moa, Leulaui and Papalii (just ahead of Lussick).

                • Vunakece has done well with the opportunities he has had. Should we resign him though or would Wyong resign him? Not much talent on that list really

Vunokece will move up from the 2nd tier to top 25 next season and deservedly so. Frei, Henderson, Leilua and Moa are the only current top 25 from that list. Vunokece will take Frei spot, Henderson will b replaced by Watson. Not sure about Moa, depends what he wants and for how long, don't think the club would be interested in more than 1 extra year.

I hope they persist with Vincent Leilua and resign him. He's in the same mould as SST and will be invaluable if he gets a good run without injury.

Not to mention that he's young and would likely cost less than retaining someone who's been in our top 25 for the last few years. i think he's definately one worth investing in.

                              Definitely seems to have potential
