I can't even justify him staying in 1st grade.. He drops the ball in way too many bloody tackles, runs like a 3 legged gazelle & can't catch a pass to save his life... What the hell is going on with him??

He's awful. Has been all season.
He gets dragged back into the ingoal easier than any winger in the comp. He looks like dropping it on every carry, which the opposition are aware of; and he barely catches a bomb in attack anyway. And don't get me started on his attitude. Or his lack of brains.
Surely Burgess can't do any worse. -
I agree, early on in Monday night's game, he made a run & I said to my wife - I bet he drops this & sure enough he did.There's a reason why the young and idealistic become the old and cynical.

I don't think Toups is our main problem but I agree that he should be dropped. He has simply been awful this year. His errors and lack of speed let the team down consistently. It is also like Groundhog Day watching him being driven backwards again and again and again and again and again and again ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. How much worse could Burgess really be? Elliot has looked much more like an experienced first grader recently.Comment

Give me the Pom who has speed to burn and can find the try line and gives it 100%. As opposed to Toups and his half hearted returns of kicks, inability to dive to ground near his try line and who no longer contests the high kicks and has more fundamental errors in him.

And he's too stupid to get low when coming out of the in-goal.
I don't know how he can sit back and avoid helping the forwards come out of our danger end. He sees SKD do it time and time again, you'd think he'd be thinking he should help out and take a hit up for the team too. Looks lazy and disinterested. His moments of brilliance are few and far between.Comment

I hated his one arm drop on that cross kick at the end of the game. He could of used both hands but chose not too because that's him. And it could have cost us the game because we were on our way downfield if he caught it.
His card has been marked ever since they started allowing blockers after we won the GF - largely with thanks to Toups.
