In 2014 it was Friendy. In 2015 JWH and Pearce.

Crucial injuries at the pointy end of the season have cruelled our past two campaigns as much as we did ourselves.

Third time lucky in 2016 I hope.

I don't get it either. Manu was another as Le Coq mentioned. Those guys simply don't seem up to playing first grade in any way. Experiment gone wrong? Who knows?

I think the coach's thoughts here would be to play him at Wyong in general, with a few inevitable 17-man inclusions for FG throughout the year as injuries occur. By the time he is called into grade in a more critical capacity (should that happen), being a seasoned pro he should be able to follow a game plan and stick to it, which is probably as good as it would get with someone like him.

That's a good question, I can only imagine that in the past we had no room to pay more.. Perhaps this year is different but only because things happened unexpectedly such as Jennings leaving early.

It would be one of the 2 and tbh it may be a good thing for at least the first week of the season, however remember SKD had a blinder on his return last season, maybe playing football helps him get away from the stress.

Damn I just had an awful flashback to his intercept pass. It would be exceptionally difficult to focus on a football match with this crap going on. Hard to imagine it wouldn't be taking a toll on him. I dunno.

I get the arguments re the Henderson signing; depth, minimum wage, seasoned cover for Friend, etc. put all of the together and the signing still doesn't make much sense for mine. Even if Friend were to go down at the time of signing Henderson Robbo had and knew Aubo was capable of covering dummy half and, that he'd have either Hastings or Nikorima on the bench too. His back row wouldn't have been that weakened having regard to the fact that, at the relevant time, he has Cordner, Guerra, SST, Liu, Luelaui, Pappali, et al all signed and good to go.

I trust his judgment, I really do but that doesn't mean make makes sense for mine.

If SKD is out of the first round, which I doubt, I would go with this backline:

Fergo
Mitchell
Copley
Burgess
Tupou

Elliot is a good little player but let's be honest, he's down the list. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the troops are down in the centres, that Smith fellow whose now part of our top squad gets a run there and Manu, of course.

Yeah but that wasn't his first game back. It was the round 26 match against Souths and he was outstanding that night just as he was in the final against the Bulldogs. I am not sure that pass had anything to do with anything else going on.
