Yes to this. I would probably even go with someone like Connor Watson in case one of our halves goes down injured. Watson can play in the halves or at hooker and is more energetic than henderson

I don't really know much about Watson so I can really comment. I know Robbo rates and trust Aubo greatly, though so my thinking is if he needs someone to step into the halves it will be Mr Fixit. If either half were to go down, I'd shift the remaining half to halfback and slot Aubo at five eighth - I think Robbo would go that way too. If and when Pearce comes back, either Nikorima or Hastings will be on the bench to cover the halves and hooker.

Does anyone know what Watson's defence is like? If he still has deficiencies, then I cannot see Robbo take such a risk.

Unfortunately if they go for a utility on the bench it will be Henderson. His defence is pretty good for an old hog. He just sucks in attack.

Henderson utility ? Besides hooker what other position does he play ??

Piss Henderson off, he offers nothing. I feel he is a waste of a spot entirely. Surely we have someone who can offer 10-15 minute spark around a bunch or tired forwards.

Utility may be the wrong word but if you're one to bite at something minor a fellow chook says that's ok.
For further enjoyment for yourself I will now say "back up hooker".

Also Henderson has played positions other than hooker. Although he has started the majority of his games in hooker or off the bench he has also started games in halfback and lock.


Now I really don't want Henderson there. But you can see why Robbo is using him as our "back up hooker". An old head and has the experience in defence.
I feel that this years focus will be mainly around defence.

We shall see if Robbo goes with a "back up hooker".

I thought Henderson did OK vs St Helens , his service from dummy half was good , he looked to be organising.

Robbo has usually persisted with this idea , we would all like Jake to be able to play 80 , but he's not a machine , he does so much work when he's out there. When he slows down due to fatigue, the whole team slows down and things get sloppy.

Only thing he's good at is crying after big hits and milking penalties. That and shoulder charging people (which would be dangerous if he wasn't a midget).

I love how he broached that whole 'which state for Origin' argument before he had even played a full season of first grade. CEO shoulda said 'how about you get selected first... maaaaate'

The utility will be aubusson until Pearce comes back. Aubo will rotate between second row and hooker to give Jake a spell. Once Pearce is back it'll be aubo or nikorima with the extra forward. Henderson was just getting experience with the team.

I saw an interview with Robbo after the St Hells match and he stated that both Niko and Latrell will start round 1 weather or not he sticks to this statement is another thing
