I’m hearing their next move - after releasing game-winning centre Michael Jennings to Parramatta last month - will be to but loose representative back-rower Boyd Cordner for next year.

Manly are keen on Cordner and while the Roosters rate him highly, they believe SBW - who led them to the premiership a couple of years ago - offers far greater value.

Agree with you on this one BC - we have a strategy in place to develop players for long term success, so this proposal just goes against what we have been building over the last few years.

Exactly. If Cordner was a Golden Boy then I doubt it happens and if it did then someone would have to lose their job over it. But JAF and BigChook I doubt he is. Wouldn't be surprised if he is causing the Club off field grief. That is the only way the Club would allow something like this to happen.

Then again it could be complete rubbish and Cordners an angel. As great as SBW is I just can't see any other scenario (than terrible attitude) that sees the Roosters get rid of Cords to make way for SBW. I would have thought Nick and Trent were a lot smarter than that. Cords has so much footy left in him.

anybody who thinks SBW is going to play for us this year needs to read this interview he just did, there is no way he is giving up his Olympic dream to play for us this year.

next year is certainly a chance but not before.
