Rugby league don't make sense either.
You don't want me to start on the game managers again, do ya?

No way we are 1.5 under the cap.700-750 would b closer to the mark. The dingbat who wrote that was factoring in Pearce to come to the 1.5 conclusion and the only way he will get off the books for this season is if we offload him to another club, and even then I doubt we'd b 1.5 under.

Best they just give it to the Donkeys this year and be done with It.

2017 will once again be the year of the Coq!

The thought of SBW putting Hayne through a hole makes me hard.

Maybe they figure the trophy should finally go across the ditch?
Maybe it's time to call drinks on Harold Holt and turn the porch light off?
Maybe they feel a happy Skelator will unite Brisvegas again?

All I know is the prix owe us big time.

I don't care if it's this or next, but he seems to make his own rules, is it possible to play after olympics ..

Given the upgrades to Fergo, Hastings and the rest of our forwards (don't forget how hard some clubs have chased Cordner, JWH, SST, Evans, Napa) I really don't see a way we can fit both SBW and Hayne in.

If given the choice, i'd take SBW.

Although it didn't work out last time, i'd actually love to see him train an off-season as a 5/8th or centre. Would take less of a toll on his body (**cue calls of 'you're crazy, you have NFI' from the pen.)

I can see sense in that.
Hastings and SWB as a halves pairing sounds cool.
Couldn't be bad for Hoju's game.

Yeh I've often thought on his(hopeful) return that playing centre or off the bench would extend his career with us. With the new interchange rules he would be so good coming on and setting up plays on a tired defence.

I have no idea but does anyone know the actual rules of signing players mid season? I mean would SBW even be allowed by the NRL to play in the olympics then sign with us in Aug? Surely they don't allow that otherwise other players could play other sports for big cash then sign for an NRL club for more cash and only play a few rounds and finals

Not crazy at all mate. I have been posting here for a while now that I think SBW will come back and play centre. Or at least a lot wider than last time. I still think he wasn't used correctly in 2014. He is not a battering ram and it took too much of a toll on his body. Leave that to Napa, Moa, jwh etc.

If he plays centre/on the edge then our fullback will have a field day.

Hayne and SBW will be playing together and it will be at our club. If it is not this year (very unlikely for SBW) then it will definitely happen next year.

Short answer....not a snowflakes chance in hell that will happen.

Firstly, he needs to be registered with a club before the June 30 deadline, and there is no way the NRL would contemplate a contract which sees him skip out of town for a month and go and play for a rival code.

Commit to one sport or another and give it your best. If you code hop over an extended period, so be it but you shouldnt be able to chop and change midway through a season.

Great thread. I hear we are about to sign Inglis, Smith and Cronk. Uncle Nick is sick of losing and wants to buy a premiership. Its true. I promise. Should be settled by Friday at 5pm. Really.
