Agree. I can't believe people are blaming Wayne and his family for the actions of his son, saying that they never supported him enough! How on earth can people make these judgements? It's a bit rich to start taking shots at someone's parenting skills..

I can't believe that people actually think Rusty has an ounce of sincerity in his post.

Actually i am sincere in this instant, in my line of work i see great blokes at work, happy laughing, just generally all round decent blokes just disappear, never to be seen again, it is only a couple of months later you find out that this bloke had demons and on the piss would bash their missus, look for fights with innocent people, just do random acts of violence you could never have imagined them doing. I have had 2 friends die in car accidents because they could not handle the grog.

I have never drank a drop of alcohol in my life, was always happy being the designated driver and knowing when my mates had had enough and got them home.

I do not like the bloke period, i have always said i dislike him more as a person than as a footballer, this incident has not changed that.

He has let the club, his family and himself down many many times, he is the common denominator, he was present when Friend was balmed at the Rocks, he was the bloke too pissed to let Nate Myles in the room when he shit himself, there have been many other incidents he was present at and involved in that will never come out.

However there were other common denominators also, like his team mates who knew of these incidents and instead of telling him to pull his head in, laughed it off so he continued to fark up.

The Club, they have known about and smothered many a incident in the past that has never been picked up by the media, yet instead of creating an injury ala Andrew JOhns and his "busted neck" continued to sweep things under the carpet, letting him think everything was ok and he was bulletproof.

Lastly his family, surely someone would have recognised he was spiralling out of control, if they did say something and he chose to be a flog and not ;listen i apologise, however i feel Waynes non appearance at the presser to next to his son, arm around his son in full support begs the question Are they even on talking terms?

Wayne works for the NRL Integrity Unit. Too much of a conflict and probably well thought out more than not backing his son. Nobody can make judgement on that.

So he was with Friend so you are saying that Friend did nothing and is the victim? They seem to get on well as co-captains if Pearce let Friend take the rap. Actually from what I hear every team mate loves the guy.
So he was too drunk to let Myles in the door. Maybe crashed out and couldn't hear him? I have never heard anyone defend Myles for his actions except just now. Another victim all because Pearce was drunk.
So seeing you seem to be there each time Pearce has played up, what damage has he caused? Has he coward punched anyone? Has he ever bashed anyone? Has he sexually assaulted someone?
To me he sounds like a dumb harmless drunk. Young and stupid when he is on the grog. We all have friends like that. He has a problem when on the drink. He isn't an alcoholic as the media is trying to make out. Hopefully this is the turning point in his life.
What about the good he does when he is not on the drink?
Here is something a friend of a friend posted on Facebook. Many people have come out and said he is a very decent bloke. Many players are rallying around him. I didn't see too many rally around Myles when Pearce made him crap his pants.
I don't condone what he did. I hate drunks actually. But I laughed when I first saw the video as I have heard many people did too. I am sure you had a bit of a chuckle inside. It was a stupid thing for him to do but he hurt nobody at the time and left when asked to leave.
I hope the club keeps him on and he kills it when he comes back like he did in 2014 after the yellow dress incident.
