Watch for this Bennett tactic - it's something his teams have been allowed to get away with throughout his whole career: kick the ball deep and for the first two or three tackles stand as offside as you like (I'm talking 6 or 7 metres offside in an arc around the ruck) and have your markers stand side-by-side. This not only contains the opposition, but leads to handling errors.

I don't expect the referees to help us, but how we handle this tactic will determine the result.
I expect the, to kick the ball out a lot. They would be crazy not to.

I mean to say, if we control field position and stop the offload we'll go a long way to booking a gf spot.

              Easts to win.

Chooks by 12. SST to make a laughing stock of of their middle 3rd. Napalm to dominate Fatday to the point where he takes his Origin jersey. MJ to burn Hodges, over and over again.

I'm in a hotel room waiting to go flicking a light on and off like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.

I deliberately left the kitchen in a mess this morning so I would have some activity to do when I got home! The Martha Stewart in me was not pleased...plus I've eaten a mountain of Fantales left over from a meeting so I'll be awake for the next week or so as I'm supposed to avoid sugar..the last time I behaved like this was 2013....

The way I'm coping is in the knowledge that even if we lose it won't be as bad as losing to Souths in the corresponding game last year.

If we are going to lose, I would be able to cope tonight. I don't want to lose to the Purple People Cheaters in a grand final, nor the hillbillies from up north. JT gets on my nerves (I am being polite) and I will never get over 2004 losing to a side with him in it.

I will never tolerate a loss in a game of this magnitude. If we lose my tv is going into the side of the neighbours house.

                              But we won't lose.

As kids, we use to call those odd looking purple jelly fish thingies 'Purple People Eaters'.
