    Not me.

I am expecting to lose Moa and Maloney for a week as worst case - and I still think we will win.

I was at that game. I'm trying to remember the other 2 he sent off. I think Jim Morgan was one.

I'm also still seething about the final of the pre-season competition that year. Souths v Easts at the SFS. We scored two tries to nil, but lost 10-8. Page gave the Vermin 10 penalties to nil.

(Ben Cummins is Keith Page reincarnated. They both smell like sulphur.)

Correct, JT, but I didn't became a Roosters fan until my Dad took me to see them play (and lose) the minor semi-final in 1967.

So I'm just another bandwagoner after all...

You have been around so long you have rusted on to the bandwagon.

I too was at that semi final against the Berries ( Canterbury) . The year of when limited tackles was introduced. 4 tackle rule.

Our forwards have gone to another level since JWH has been unavailable, every bloody one of them.
You could say our form in the first half was so hot that it melted the numbers of our friggen jerseys.

                But I still worry.
The optimist in me died a couple of years back, but I remain a realist.
Friday night will be hard to top, as 12 in a row becomes nerve wracking.
And we will cop the game managers with their QLD agenda.
It won't be easy from here.

Trent has a difficult task to keep this team on a high for another few weeks.
He's already proved to me that he's one of the two best coaches we've had, but winning this year would prove he's in the great catagory.
Good thing for us that the powers that be under- value the minor premiership.(should be more dough to the club but)

                Can we keep this up?

                The red bars have spoken.

                GO EASTS.

                Good post mate!

Actually enjoyed this thread, nice reading a bit of history albeit not very happy memories about Keith Page (before my time as a supporter). It actually for a moment got me a bit worried about his evil spawn Ben Cummins.

Having said that we have been getting a fair crack from the refs and I don't expect it will change dramatically come the finals cos if it did it will be irrefutable proof the NRL is corrupt.

We have the team to win it this year and I really only see the Storm as the team that could stop us if we are anywhere near en song.

It is a new competiition the finals, history beckons our team, streak or no streak, the equation now is to win 3 games.

Just like 2013 I expect a replay for our 1st week semi final as the decider.

A 'Perfect Storm' is what we need for our finals preparation

                    .
                    Thanks mate.
I liked reading that too, I was only about 6 when we lost that gf to Manly, and didn't hear about Page's influence on things.74 and 75 would've wiped out some of the pain I imagine.
Love to see us beat the horses in the big one this time around.
They have never experienced the pain of losing one before.

Surprised you see Melbourne as the biggest hurdle, but we'll know after next week.
No more live games for me now.Dunno if that's a good or bad thing? lol

Moa was the only one I am slightly worried about with the MRC.
And It would suck to lose him for a week.
Sam has played a lot of good games for us, but I rank last week as his best.

                            Hated that too.
Spent a lot of sunday arvos at that joint when i was younger.
                            Hate plastic stadium.
Everytime I watch our games on telly I feel like offering to spray paint 2/3rd's of the empty seats white and red, in a V pattern.
