if we get moved to either Saturday night/sunday and the worst happens and we lose, we then have a shorter turnaround for week 2 of the finals and actually lose any advantage of finishing top of the ladder.

I agree. But TV runs the draw.

Here I was still thinking the make up and finishing order of the top 4 was still uncertain

The thinking is that we will be on Sunday.

Channel 9 have stated in the past that they prefer to have the Brisbane Broncos play their matches on a Friday night as they are a well supported team and provide higher television ratings than other teams and this is also backed up by the fact that channel 9 receive first opportunity to select matches for the round and they choose the Brisbane Broncos for most weeks.

If the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks finish with a home semi-final will we have to share the day with them again?

The last 2 years when we've been minor premiers we have played on the Sat night, so I wouldn't be surprised if we do the same this year. I'd actually prefer it to the Friday or Sunday.

To get the double crack and the home semi....do you really think Robbo is losing sleep over whether we play Friday or Saturday next week?

I certainly hope not, but it's a distinct possibility.

Dont think we will be fri night if playing sharks, because they would have a short turn around.

Either way, it looks like flake for dinner next week.

I prefer to play Sunday afternoon..
I don't buy into this everyone is against us crap. To be fair if the Sharks came first and we finished forth and played this Sunday we would be whinging how unfair a five day turn around is but a lot of people are happy for the sharks to.

its all well and good to play sunday arvo, but should we lose and end up with a short turnaround to a Friday night final in week 2, I bet a few will change their tune.

We'll be playing on Saturday night giving us an 8 day turn around, probably against a team (Cronulla) with a 6 turn around. Mate ,take a deep breath, a couple of chill pills and relax. We just won the minor premiership for the 3rd straight year. Enjoy it.

I like the idea of playing on a nice dry afternoon.
